Ummm, a fine? A suspension?

This is absurd.

just saw it on espnews

shouldn't it be 114, since there were freethrows becasue a foul happened.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it will be 114-111. If not then the Hawks are getting screwed big time.

hahaha, that'd be funny if there was a scoring error to start this 51 seconds.

Hawk fans need to take it as it is. NBA finally did something right. It's not their fault the scoring keeper is incompetent.

It'll probably be 112-111 with the Hawks shooting FTs to start the game.

I'm fine with it. You would find it hilarious though if you watched the game. That was probably the worst officiated game I have ever seen. Should have been a blow out.

LOL, that's hilarious. Imagine if the Heat actually won the game and it blows their chance with Rose or Mayo :)

If American betting agencies are anything like Australian, the result from the night stands for betting purposes (Ie: Atlanta wins)

THere was a situation in Australia last year in our football league, where my team (St Kilda) was down by 1 point to Fremantle when the siren went to end the game...THe umpires didnt hear it, and play continued for about another 15 seconds where st kilda managed to score a point to tie the scores

Betting agencies paid out on the draw, but Fremantle protested, and the result was overturned to be a win to them

If the same thing would of happend with 10 mins left in the 4th quarter, would the NBA make them replay those last 10 mins?

Some of you are slow, theyre not replayin because they made a mistake, mistakes happen, they're replayin because the mistake was blatantly ignored by the scorekeepers.

Great question. My guess is no. But I not sure.

I'm also wondering why Horford has to retake both free throws. The first one especially would have been completely unaffected by Shaq's presence. Unless the idea is that just the sheer sight of Shaq in the lane would have influenced Horford.

This is crap. Hey, let's have a do over from the Game 6 1998 finals, when the refs made those two bogus shot clock violations that cost Utah 3 points and gave Chicago 2 points.

This is just Stern trying to protect the integrity of his game as an affect of the Tim Donaghy scandal, IMO.

u dont get it do you , refs making calls are opinion calsl their the refs opinions , just like in the nfl the opinion calls cant be challenged like offsides ..this had something to do with the scorekeeping ..a fact where shaq only had 5 fouls and someone made that mistake

In the spirit of re-do games, I propose that the Kings and Lakers RE-PLAY the overtime of 2002's WCF game 7. Obviously, our official scorer screwed up and gave too many fouls to Scott Pollard, therefore dooming the Kings to lose the game.

How about if it was just some Scrubb such as Luke Walton who they would have accidentally assessed the foul to and consequently he would have fouled out, I bet they wouldnt of cared to replay the game then.

whoa whoa wait a minute.... it was some scrubb who is this Shaq guy he is ancient history isnt he.

Welcome to the "what have you done for me lately?" world.

If you actually would read WTH happened, you wouldn't have gone this route.

it wasn't the refs, it was the statisticians that BLATANTLY disregarded correct information when given to them IMMEDIATELY.

How were they supposed to know it was correct information when their records had him with 6 fouls? because Miami says so? :dontknow:
