it's not aobut losing or winning when he returns. it's if the rest of the team continue to play aggressive and not be intimidated when he comes back.

he prollie will play around 25 mins for the first 3-4 games when he returns anyways

I like how Tmac says "I'm out of shape" with a smile on his face.

Seriously, if Tmac has half the work ethic of a kobe bryant, he'll be the best player in the league no doubt.

he is out of shape. when u have knee injuries, the only thing u can do is rest. for a top notch athlete, not doing anything for 2 weeks will get u out of shape even if he's still in great shape.

out of shape for him is simply conditioning, which means he'll lose his breath faster and can't play an entire quarter.

Of course its about winning or losing, do I really to go into the Herm Edwards spiel with you?

But, I understand the point your making and I agree and that's why I said that its going to take a few games for everyone to re-adjust to playing with one another

the first few games it's not. i just want to see if the role players will do what they should do and not rely on tmac or yao that much.

after 4-5 games, then yes, winning matters despite how good they "might" play

Its always about winning or losing. Its going to take a minute for everyone to get their roles right and their going to struggle during this time, its inevitable. That's why you want him coming back against Minnesota, Seattle or Philly because you can afford to struggle against those teams because the Rox are just a better team than them. SA, NO, maybe not.

Is he officially out for the New Orleans game as well?

I was really hoping, he'd come back today, get warmed up today, loose and hopefully be ready for the NO's game where I felt we could use him.

I just hope it's not like two seasons ago, when McGrady was expected to come back in around two weeks, every-time the date came, the injury kept getting postponed till well......it was over. Sure kind of feels like that anyway. I won't believe a single thing any article says, until he's back out on the floor (Today would have been ideal but obviously that's not happening).

Is he officially out for the New Orleans game as well?

i think he would come back earlier if hte team was struggling. but b/c the team is doing so well, there is no rush to come back. he'll be back next week at least to play the spurs. but i prefer he'd play philly first

Agree it would be different situation when the team was strugglin'. But we are doin' well so Tracy needs to do well when he comes back. That's why he wants that shape to come in. I think normally as a player you wanna give yourself first 2-3 games after injury just to fall into the right rythm. Tracy cannot do that cause the team plays so well without him. That's why we need Tracy playin' well.

Rockets guard Tracy McGrady is expected to miss three more games as he recovers from a left knee injury.

McGrady, averaging 23 points and five assists per game, has sat out the last eight games with strained tendons, tendinitis and a bone bruise in the knee. The Rockets are 6-2 in the stretch without him heading into Friday night's game against Minnesota.

Rockets trainer Keith Jones said McGrady's knee is healthy, but he needs to improve his conditioning before he can play again. Jones expected McGrady to return to action when the Rockets play San Antonio next Saturday in Houston.

``He's worked out every day, picking it up every day,'' Jones said. ``Now, we're trying to do a little more cardio and endurance things on the court and see what he does over the next 3-4 days.''

Also, Bonzi Wells missed Friday's game because of a sprained left shoulder. Jones said Wells suffered the injury in the Rockets' 103-83 win in Memphis on Dec. 28.

Wells scored 25 points against Boston on Jan. 2, but his scoring and minutes steadily declined over the next four games. He played less than 17 minutes and scored only two points in the Rockets' 101-92 win over New York on Wednesday.

Jones said Wells got a painkilling injection and doctors recommended that he sit out Friday's game. Jones expected Wells to practice on Saturday and play in Houston's next game, against New Orleans on Sunday.

As we said. Tracy will be back for Philly but most likely against Spurs.

I think we can never got a certain information about him .. maybe teams officials and doctors are sleeping. but it bores me. every team usually give a certain date or game date for return of a injured player.anyway ı guess he will be back in sixers game. we should beat them.it will be a revenge game for us.

Well Tracy said that in the interview.

But it's gonna be a good test for out team, really. Tracy needs to come into the game with a good rythm when he comes back. AFter that type of injury you just need to run run and run.

Good news that T-Mac's knee is ok. We need to survive fot those 3 games, especially against Hornets.

Waith right now it's only 2 games. I mean the only one was Minnesota. Jones and McGrady said he will be back for Spurs. So now a good test against Hornets and hopefully a win over Sixers.

Right now it's not about his injury, he's healthly, it's about gettin' into a right shape, game shape

I think he wont be in spurs game.it will be hard to play for him against spurs.first of all , he can adjust team by playing against a easy team.so that , ı expect he will play on 21 january. ı mean in seattle game.

but anyway ım still hoping he can play in Sixers game.. ı miss him.. :)
