Post#1 » by kellex » Sat Jan 12, 2008 5:52 am

ANyone know why Nene is going out on an indefinite leave? It really is too bad...i keep forgetting that he is only 25, it seems like he has been in the league forever.

isnt his career one big indefinite leave? it does suck...i was never one of the NeNe believers...but, that size, strength, age and ability, it's a shame...I dont know if he'll ever be back on track...shame..

My guess, in all honesty, is that he really fathered Dwight Howards kid. It would be easy to mistake two.

i'm very tempted to make some sort of fat joke involving krispy kreme's or kfc...but if its discovered later that its some serious illness/cancer/tumor to him or his family i'd feel terrible.

So far all that really is know is that it is a health matter he and his family wants to keep private and the team isn't saying anything more.

To the people who want to crack jokes, this obviously can not be some injury. Hopefully whatever it is, it isn't that bad. But for now, try to some a little class till more is known.

its serious

from George Karl's comments and his teammates' comments its definitely something serious, some of the players even said life or death. Anthony Carter said he almost broke down when the team got the news yesterday.

Denver is usually laughing on the court. Melo, Iverson, Martin. There was nothing last night. They seemed really serious. no joking around at all.

regardless of his potential, his injuries, all that stuff...get well soon, Nene.

I heard it was a VD but I am not sure. Credit goes to Woody's inside information on that one.
