Revisting the 05 draft
Look, I'm not gonna say Atlanta should have drafted Chris Paul or Deron Williams because thats obvious. But if the draft was held tomorrow, what would the first ten picks be? I will give you some notable players from that draft:
Chris Paul, Deron Williams, Andrew Bynum, Marvin Williams, Andrew Bogut, Raymond Felton, Danny Granger, Charlie Villanueva, Nate Robinson, David Lee, Jason Maxiell, Monta Ellis, Louis Williams, Ryan Gomes, Andray Blatche, Rashard McCants
Here is my revised top ten
Milwaukee: Chris Paul
Atlanta: Andrew Bynum
Utah: Deron Williams
New Orleans: Monta Ellis
Charlotte: Andrew Bogut
Portland: Danny Granger
Toronto: Marvin Williams
New York: Raymond Felton
Golden State: Charlie Villanueva
LA Lakers: Andray Blatche

I would say...
1. Mil: Chris Paul
2. Atl: Andrew Bynum
3. Utah: Deron Williams
4. NO: Marvin Williams
5. Cha: Andrew Bogut
6. Por: Danny Granger
7. Tor: Monta Ellis
8. NY: Martell Webster
9. GS: Rashad Mccants
10. LAL: Raymond Felton
I'll admit that I thought Paul was overrated before the draft. A little bit undersized, good but not great athlete... didn't quite see the hype, but I guess that's why I'm not an NBA scout. He's been great since day 1 and has only gotten better. A 20/10 PG doesn't come around often. Atlanta did (and still does) need a PG, but watching Bynum's development, I think they take him over Deron (even though I'm a big DWill fan) because he's a guy you can build a team around.

If i'm the Bucks, I take Bynum and have a trio of Ford-Redd-Bynum.
Of course, U can take Paul and trade Ford, but i'd feel safer by going for the big guy. And, TJ value wasn't that great I think, but I can be mistaken.

Marvin Williams is 3 years younger and already a more efficient basketball player than Danny Granger.

Too bad we don't SEE he's the next T-MAC

Lol @ this blatant shot at the Hawks and Marvin Williams.
David Lee and Blatche over Marvin? Come on. Maybe your top 4 is justified but the rest is a joke.
LOL, you're awfully sensitive about Marvin Williams.
I think he's a decent player - no more no less. He's a tweener - He's not a creator, and he's not a real power player. There's nothing that really stands out about him. Granger is an outstanding defensive player and just a better all-around player. If I left out someone that I shouldn't, it would be Webster, imo. Where's your top 10.

1 - Bucks - Bynum
They had TJ Ford at worst they should have tried to get a backup in the 2nd round but TJ Fords teams win, I dont think his team has ever missed the playoffs.
2 - Hawks - Paul
Obvious toss up here but I think Paul is better to have on a young team
3 - Jazz - Deron
dont mess with a good thing right?
4 - Hornets - Bogut
This was before Tyson Chandler, although this team needed lots of help so you could go for potential here.
5 - Bobcats - Marvin Williams
They need a shooter, but Webster doesnt deserve to go this high and the rest come later. They had Brevin so they didnt need a PG.
6 - Portland - Raymond Felton
They need a PG
7 - Toronto - Granger
A wing was probably their biggest need, Graham started at SF this year
8 - New York - David Lee
Was thinking Webster because knicks need shooters, but couldnt think of a person who would do better on the knicks than Lee already has, so he goes here
9 - Warriors - Nate Robinson
Good shooter and scorer, suits the offence well as first guard off the bench.
10 - Lakers - Luther Head
Jury out on whether he can be a starting PG, but Kobe dominates the ball anyway, you need a PG who can knock down shots.
11 - Magic - Villanueva
They need a big or a PG, but Jack isnt good enough to go this high
12 - Clippers - Sean May
When healthy he would add with Kaman and Brand to give a real good front court
13 - Bobcats - Webster
They get their shooter here
14 - Wolves - Louis Williams
McCants is bad, knowing that they were gonna decimate the team takes Frye and Turiaf off the table, toss up between Louis and Monta but I'd take Louis
