Arena: The Palace
Detroit has come back from more 3-2 series disadvantages than any team in recent memory. Part of this is the tremendous momentum that can be built late in playoff games.
Coach: Gregg Poppovich
To draw up a play at the end of the game you need a good X-and-Os guy. But you also need someone who knows the players enough to give it to the right guy. Some coaches like Sloan are slavishly devoted to their gameplan and rotations. Nobody embodies the good things more than Popp.
End-to-End Ballhandler: Chauncey Billups
I'd want someone who's fast, like Barbosa or T.J. Ford. But I also want someone who can keep down the number of turnovers. I'd also like a guy with some size or length, so he could get the inbound easier with the press on. Billups doesn't get out on the break very much, but he won't turn it over and I know he has the size to get the inbound.
The Stopper: Bruce Bowen
It's freakin' Bruce Bowen.
Last Show Down 1: Dwyane Wade
If I was down 2 going for the win or down 3 needing to tie, I'd go Kobe. but in this situation gimme Wade, who is more likely to draw some contact and get the win at the foul line, or he'll take a smart midrange jumper. He has the explosiveness to get a little cushion on a last shot, and title experience.
