Without Garcia in it, the Magic are just handing you good contracts for a bad one. The deal only works with Garcia.
As far as who plays backup PG? Who cares. Improving at 2 starting positions makes up for getting worse at a backup one. We could sign Darius Washington to play 10 minutes a night off the bench.

Orlando would need to give more than a 1st to get Garcia. You'd have to take back Kenny Thomas.
We are already taking back Miller's ugly contract, we aren't taking Thomas' too. If Sacto wants to half assed rebuild while underneath bad contracts be my guest, but if they want a chance to really rebuild then this is a good deal for them.

I'm neutral. I'm a Heat fan. And Miller's actually earned his contract this year. And he's a good fit next to Dwight. And I can tell you that this is a piedream with Garcia in it. Miller's worth expirings+1st by himself.

Miller is surely not worth that. Miller, despite having a decent year, is hindering Sacramento's ability to rebuild. Sacto would be happy to get out from under his contract because they are going nowhere right now with him. Adding all these expirings makes Sacto a huge player in free agency and allows them to rebuild for real. If they want to be the new Indiana and stay mediocre because they refuse to rebuild unless they get A+ return on their overpriced players then be my guest. While Orlando is obviously getting the better of it on players alone, Sacramento is helped a ton by this trade. If that costs them Garcia, who isn't even a starter when Artest and Martin are healthy then so be it. they would be getting Redick back and have Salmons as well. So losing Garcia doesn't exactly cripple them.

You forgot to mention those good contracts of yours are a bunch of scrubs that would not do anything for us. Miller ugly contract is averaging ~20/10/5 the last 5 games, 16/10/5 the last 10 games, and 14/9/3 for the season.Cammo101 wrote:-= original quote snipped =-

I don't think they're going to trade Brad Miller for expirings, not be so sure they want to do that, because probably it's not true.

Not true, they would be still over the cap for the next years with Thomas, SAR, Bibby and the new contract of Kevin Martin.

Looks like you're bashing the players Orlando takes in the deal. Garcia is a solid player from the bench for the Kings, and he is doing a good job as starter.

Expiring Contracts aren't with that much and a late first aren't worth that much
Miller isn't hindering the Kings ability to rebuild. Are young guys are playing well enough trying to gain confidence with Miller there all the same. The Kings aren't going to get rid of everyone all at once like most teams. Thats now how they are rebuilding.
BMillers are best big
