The other AtN thread has fallen too far for me to want to go find it, so I thought I'd start up a new one.

Got anything non-Blazer NBA related on your mind, post it up here.

*Another Pacer has been suspended for drug use?! Ridiculous. Even after dumping Stephen Jackson, they still got knuckleheads like Tinsley, Daniels, and now Harrison. This must be how other fans felt when looking at the Blazers circa 2002-2005.

This whole Miami/Atlanta replay should be pretty interesting. After Pat Riley's ass-like comment's earlier in the year it would feel pretty good to see Miami get two L's in the same day.

The WC is just so damn even right now it's crazy. 6 games separate first place from 10th. Out East the drop from 3rd to 4th is a steep one. The difference between 3rd place Orlando and 4th place Washington is the difference between about 5th place to 10th out West.

I'm really excited for the Hawks-Heat replay :D I wonder if the facebook sports betting app will have it.

Dwight Howard becoming a baby's daddy marks his official entrance into the NBA.

The current headline "Raptors' Colangelo On Prowl For Guard" on top of being a mediocre pun makes me think of 'Hungry Like the Wolf' by Duran Duran. I'm trying to make some basketball-related lyrics but nothing seems to work.

*The Miami Heat are clearly tanking. They had their a**es handed to them by the T-Wolves. Shaq is 3rd string calibur, he's a liability on both ends now. I don't think I've ever seen someone decline as fast as the Diesel. He needs a new nickname, "Diesel" should be changed to bio-Diesel.

*How good is the Randolph deal looking now? Frye is developing into an important role player off the bench. James Jones, what a surprise he has been.
"Damn the Blazers. Damn them to hell. They are working the rest of the league like a speedbag."

*The Nets are workin' a major choke-job (not a Kidd pun) against the Celtics right now. They were up by 5 with less than 10 minutes in the 4th quarter, now they're down by 7 with a little more than 1 minute left in the 4th. They've only scored 6 points in the whole 4th so far. That's Philly-esque.

EDIT: The Nets/Celtics game just ended, the Nets only finished with 9 points in the whole quarter. Embarrassing.

*The West is disgustingly packed right now. Only 3 Eastern teams have over 20 wins so far this year. There's 9 in the West. Make that 10 after tonight with the Rockets, who are currently up by 32 points over the Timberwolves.... AT THE HALF  . Really embarrassing.

*Not to be outdone by the TWolve, the Heat are currently getting worked in a 30 point route themselves. They're down 31 to the Hornets with about 6 minutes left in the 4th. The Heat are unthinkably bad. Everyone thought they just needed to get Wade back, well, that really hasn't helped one bit. He's must be REALLY regretting coming back from that shoulder injury so soon. Has any team in the history of the NBA ever fallen as far as fast as the Heat have? It's amazing to think that they're just 2 years removed from a Title.

*I honestly feel bad for Randolph. I wouldn't wish that NY situation on anyone. The trade definitely looks great for the Blazers in retrospect.

Sad.... Last summer somebody suggested on this board (I was a reader back then, but not a poster) that Greg Oden's nickname should be the Bio Diesel. (it was a play off of Shaq's name, being in the green PNW).

I hate, hate, hate, hate, hate to see the Lakers growing into a formidable team while so young themselves. Bryant, Bynum, and co. figure to be a major obstacle for the Blazers. It'll be fun, though.

Andrew Bynum is so good. So good. I'd have almost advocated to draft HIM rather than Webster but Webster just sounded like a great need.

In other news, Nuggets F/C The Artist Formerly Known As Maybyner Hilario has left the team and had surgery for reasons that haven't been put to light. It carries a serious, almost grave, weight to it.

Joakim Noah looks like he might be a bit of a headcase. That's pretty bad to have been benched for the game... by your own teammates.

As u can see on the wiretap, Bynum is going to miss about 2 months, which could increase our playoff chances.

Apparently things are so bad with the Heat, that their website is now promoting players who haven't been on the roster for the better part of 7 years... Check out the giant picture of Bruce Bowen in a Heat jersey on the front of their page:

Anyone see LeBron was pulled over at the of the year? Apparently he was clocked driving at just over 100 mph.
