Hinrich is a quality defender; he has looked average whenever he has had to guard SGs, which is more often this year.

I agree that Smith is a mediocre defender, and that won't cut it alongside Gasol. But I think the Bulls could start Noah effectively at the C, with a PF like Gasol commanding attention. Redd has become alot better this year, in passing, driving and defense. We both know I can't really defend Noc', but he does bring alot of positives to counteract that. Working with Pau and Navarro should fire him up even more.

If that lineup isn't worth going over the lux tax, there isn't much that is. But I respect your position, BB.

Its not Paxson, its Reinsdorf. Paxson basically said that the bulls won't cross the luxury barrier, and Reinsdorf has said he'll pay the luxury tax if the team warrants it, but with his recent dump of Tyson Chandler, and Paxson's latest quote, it just won't seem like it'll happen.

I think I panned the trade a little too much. Its not that I don't like it. Hell, its not that I wouldn't do it. But I still don't think it'll get us into top 8 team status. Just outside, maybe. And without a guaranteed, Boston Big 3, superduperstar, amazing consolidation trade, I doubt Reinsdorf will budge on his position. Thats all I was trying to say.

If you somehow remove Gadzuric, then I'm on board, and likely the Bulls too. But then the Bucks get hosed.

Still, its likely a better try than anything I've ever come up with.

Locla Chi-town product Simmons might work instead of Gadzuric; but with Bobby's higher salary, as well as the bonus of shortening Gazuric's contract by one year, you would have to add a player. If MIL would do it, Griffin might work. Otherwise, they may ask for Thabo...
