Those days, any white dude who can handle the ball is compared to Nash. That said, Rubio is for real, remember this vid was made when he was 16 years old and in a competition far tougher than NCAA.

Sedale Threatt wrote:He reminds me very much of the Pistol. Same dark hair, same lanky body, same playground style. Some of those passes are just unreal. We don't have enough players like this in the NBA.

Apropos of nothing in particular, here was one Turk's assessment on another compilation I watched on the Tube: "I saw he is a good player however this does not change the truth. Khalid El-Amin has fukced him last night in Ankara :)."

NBADRAFT.net has his player comparison as pistol pete.
just reading what they say about this guy makes me just Image

this guy sounds so damn amazing on offense, plus he plays defense. I mean wow, he just sounds so damn amazing, like a combination of magic and bird. wow.

Rubio scored 51 points (including a three-point buzzer-beater shot from mid court to force the first overtime), grabbed 24 rebounds, made 12 assists, and stole the ball seven times

holy crap.

Sounds like a shorter Luke Walton.

Maybe Luke in a PGs body?

Khalid El-Amin Always A Winner

Ricky Rubio... saw him in Ankara against Turk Telecom. He is young, pure shooter ! He had a great game. Too bad Khalid El-Amin had 33 points in the second half, and young Rubio found himself in foul trouble, young guns have to stop reaching and move their feet on defense.
