Stat Officials vs. Jamario Moon

Post#1 » by souljah006 » Sun Jan 13, 2008 8:51 am

Since we're on the topic of Stat Officials in the present...i thought this would be a good time to bring up something that has been bothering me for a while...

It might be just me...but i wish this topic will help people keep an eye out in the upcoming games...

It gets me excited every time i see Moon come up with a steal or a block...though it bothers me when i am keeping a count of the number of blocks and steals he's having through the game but when the stats come up... it just seems to be missing a block here and there...

This is not something i noticed in one game....but of the top of my head i can count atleast two maybe even three where this happened...

thoughts?

the only reason i am bringing this up is because he has publicly said that he'd like to break the record for most blocks in a game....and i'd love to see him do it...

But it just sucks that there are times when it seems like he's is havin a big blockfest...but the only have him down for 3 or 2 blocks when he's supposed to have 4 maybe 5

Another BIG reason>>>I have him on my fantasy team...

I've noticed it too, but I think the officials are selective in what is a block and and steal. Sometimes he just knocks the ball out of the opponents hands, that I think the officials probably think its nothing, just a loose ball. That's what i think atleast.

officials miss small things all the time

who cares about a block or two in stats it makes no difference. if dmart said he wanted to win most 3's in the season are you gonna petition that the league should count all his long range shots as a 3 pointer?

if you want to complain at least complain about fouls which actually affect the outcome of the game.

I know, those biased stat officials are the only thing stopping him from getting 17 blocks in a game.

Get real, buddy.

Not that its a huge deal ( he's NOT on my fantasy team!) but it is happening regularly.

Its the same play every time thats not being counted as a block. When the offensive player is going up and still has two hands on the ball, Moon is really good at timing a jump from behind and stuffing him. I think it isn't being counted as a block cause he is getting it just before the guy shoots. Plus you can tell that Jamario is swinging his arm across rather than down at the ball. It should definitely be counted as a steal though
