The Wizards have improved because of the defense, their offense was better last year with Gilbert.

As good as Caron Butler is, he's still not a legit #1 option. If you watch every Wizard game you know that as he good as he is, he's not a guy who can get off a shot any time he wants. Right now, with Gilbert out, Nick Young is the best player the Wizards have at creating his own shot.

Gil allowed Larry Hughes to play an equal role a few years ago, and I don't think it will be much different now with Butler. The supporting cast is the best he's ever had, if he fits in and takes advantage, than they can be real deadly.

If the wiz are playing good up till march and are in a playoff spot i wouldn't even give agent zero a lot of playing time, it just would disrupt the flow and chemistry that has been built up over the course of a season similar to how webber hurt the kings more then he helped back in '04 i think when he came back at the end of the year

That's silly. If Arenas is healthy, why wouldn't they want him in the playoffs? A few months doesn't suddenly erase the fact that Arenas is the teams franchise player. This chemistry they have right now is not a championship level chemistry or a team thats going far in the playoffs without Gilbert.

the wizards OFFENCE is much better with Arenas on floor. I really don't care if they have more chemisty and move the ball better with arenas on bench. scoring is all that matters on Offence and they SCORE more with him. Defence is where he has to prove himself when he comes back. If he can buy into the new team defence then the wizards will be a legit contender in the east
