Toronto Star
Unselfish act shows Bosh's true colours

"I'm just proud of our basketball team," said Mitchell. "They snatched a win from us a couple of times and we kept on fighting. You have to be proud of them, that was just an unbelievable win for us.

"I think with a win like that today, some of our players grew up."

Mitchell goes easy on Moon for gaffe and with good reason

Maybe Bryan Colangelo, the general manager, needs to make a move to shake up a moribund second unit. And certainly a lot of the second-line woes are related to the lingering absence of the starting point guard, T.J. Ford, not to mention the spotty work of Martin, the pressed-into-service backup.

But who do you deal? It's tough to trade, say, Joey Graham when he's racking up four fouls in all of five minutes and 12 seconds, which is what he was doing yesterday. It's tough to trade, say, Kris Humphries when he's been so up and down. And when starters like Andrea Bargnani and Moon play like backups

Peyton not Payton and he far from sucked yesterday. In the past they won in spite of his playoff performances. Yesterday they lost despite his brilliant performance.

Talk about biast writers from the Portland newspaper:

"There were some questionable calls -- Calderon was awarded a tiebreaking three-pointer with nine seconds left in the first overtime, even though replays clearly showed his right foot over the line -- and Webster was grabbed intentionally by Bosh in the second overtime without a foul being called."

Was I watching the same game? What about all the bogus calls against the raps(foul on delfino on the 3/roy bodychecking ap out of bounds and no call/several terrible out of bounds calls against us)

for sure.
And Frye's up and down... Portland looked like they paid the refs for most of the game.

And Fishdick should be fired already he's terrible

There were bad calls both ways. Bosh never got an +1 despite being body checked on a couple of his drives.

Maybe i missed it, but I don't see any mention in any of the papers of the moment of silence before the game, for the basketball kids from Bathurst. They were driving back from Moncton, where i live. Sad story. :(

There was no mention of it at the game. I arrived pretty early yesterday, so I'm sure I didn't miss it. I wouldn't be surprised if there was recognition of this at Wednesday's game.

Sad story indeed.

There was a clear foul in one of the OT periods when Bosh dunked it too. Aldridge flew at him and clearly bounced off Bosh and fell to the floor. Oh well, we won :P

When you lose a game and whine about the officiating there is one deserved response.

BOO HOO!

But do not forget that goes both ways and we need not whine if the tables are turned, unless we illicit the same.
