that was an awesome team, 07-08 raptors are soooo soft in comparison to that team. I loved having guys like AD, oak and JYD.

At that time, we had some MEN.
My name is Taiyab, and I realize there is an intra-team conflict at the Point Guard spot.

Those were the days when we thought this team could only go up. Now that we know where things actually went....which is NOWHERE....I'd take today's team.

Some fans are just never content. The more and more I read, I see more reactions typical of Leaf fans.

Let's get some toughness at the expense of talent....yeah, that's a smart move.

This is not to say the team couldn't use a little toughness but I'm more than happy with the direction our team is headed and hopefully that toughness will be brought in as surrouding role players over the next couple of seasons.

Besides, there's different types of so-called 'toughness'. It doesn't have to be so-called ghetto as the OP says in the title.

I've watched us beat Philly three times this year. Their front three are genetically designed to get rebounds. But I'm convinced if Raps played them 15 more times this season, we'd win all 15 games.

I thought by ghetto team you meant those teams where we actually had ghetto players like Robert Archibald, Eric/Aaron Williams, Dion Glover, Matt Bonner starting (sorry Matt) etc.

I think the 01 team would beat the 08 team. The 08 Team would virtually get ZERO boards with oak, AD and JYD... Oak is the probably the best rebounder this team ever had... dude never even jumped but still got almost 10 a game didn't he?

It would be a nice hypothetical match up. We would be owned inside. Rosho/Andrea are going to get worn out fast with Oak's and AD's tactics. Bosh is fast enough to still make it a game by being able to draw fouls on a much slower AD/Oak. Vince would abuse us, but still his play is a little under what we have seen against LBJ thus far. The 08 team will light up the 01 team from the perimeter... I honestly don't know how they could be stopped (Christie is gone).

If our shooters are on, 08 walks away with the win. If they are off its an ugly loss.

This year's team could beat them in a couple of regular season games. But in a playoff setting, they definitely take it in 5 or 6 at the most. Bosh is going to get hacked like hell everytime he drives to the basket by Oak and AD, leaving him gassed and more jumpshot prone. I don't even want to think of what would happen if Ford were to penetrate into the lane.
Obama did not shut down the practice of torture, but merely repositioned it, to the American norm. The torture regime of Ford through Clinton, year by year, produced more US-backed strapped-down agony than was produced during the Bush/Cheney years.

Vince Carter from that era would completely carve up the Raptors. I shed a tear at the thought of Vince crowning everyone and their mama while drilling 3's just for the fun of it.

Do you really think that Carter from that era is any more effective than LBJ from now? I kind of think that LBJ is tougher... but with our team its not like Carter is going to be discouraged to go inside (he still can pull off career games against us).
