Well what you you all think?

Does Mike Brown deserve a contact extension?

No, our FO is extremely incompetent. Winning the most games of any Cavs' coach in recent years is NOT an accomplishment when you take into consideration that we have the BEST PLAYER IN THE LEAGUE!!!

I guess the question is what better options are there?

Van Gundy but he is even worse on offense than Brown is. LBJ hates Larry Brown so he's out of the picture.

If we aren't getting a top flight coach, might as well re-up Mike Brown

Due to the fact that Mr. Potatohead is here to stay, this is a wasted thought but I actually would have offered quite a bit to get Tom Izzo here from Michigan State. His teams come to play.

I blame the teams readiness to play more on LeBron than I do Brown. The team follows what LeBron does alot more than they follow whay Brown says.

You all know mike brown dont coach this team, lebron does, and lebron knows it too, so he probably went to the FO and said he wants brown to stay, knowing this in the back of his mind, and they signed him to a extension and now lebron is happy bc hes still the coach, not someone real like larry brown or phil jackson or pop

Now all Ferry has to do is send brown to a remedial offensive basketball coaching clinic and we will be alright. And did anyone catch the quote from Ferry that Brown "doesnt have the deer in the headlights look"? priceless. I guess Ferry is busy watching the cheerleaders most of the games then.

A head coach should be in control of his team not the star player regardless of who that player is. If mike brown doesnt have controll of his players it's his own fault.

Check out Brian Windhorst's argument on his blog at: http://www.ohiomm.com/blogs/cavs/

I also copied what he said and pasted it below:

Mike Brown got a new contract today. Cavs never tell me the numbers, but I called some people and it sounds he
