3 Way DEN / CLE / SAC Trade . . . Bibby Nene Gooden

Post#1 » by pistons » Mon Jan 14, 2008 8:54 pm

Denver Gets :

Drew Gooden
Larry Hughes

Denver Trades :

Nene
JR Smith
Eduardo Najera
Yakhouba Diawara

Why for Nuggets : Nuggets need to get much much better on defense if they have any shot at being a serious title contender . Their only moveable pawn is Nene seeing as how Iverson , Camby , and Anthony are untouchable and no one wants to touch Martin . In this deal , you trade away the potential that both Smith and Nene have , but you improve them defensively at both PF and SG . Hughes can also take over some of th eplaymaking duties that Iverson has and can defend the other team's best swingman which would definitely take some pressure off the big 3 .

C - Camby / Hunter
PF - Gooden / Martin
SF - Anthony / Kleiza
SG - Hughes / Wafer / * ( Diawara )
PG - Iverson / Atkins / Carter

CLE Gets :

Mike Bibby
Brad Miller

CLE Trades :

Drew Gooden
Larry Hughes
Ira Newble
2 Future 1st round picks ( 09' and 11' )

Bibby and Miller dramatically improve this team's offense . They still should have solid defense with Mike Brown at the helm . Miller's passing and Bibby's outside shooting take a lot of pressure off of LeBron and allow him to be a scorer instead of a facilitator .

C - Z / Varejao / Jones
PF - Miller / Marshall / Simmons
SF - LBJ / Pavlovic
SG - Gibson / Brown / Brown
PG - Bibby / Snow / Jones

SAC Gets :

Nene
Eduardo Najera
Ira Newble
Yakhouba Diawara
2 Future 1sts

SAC Trades :

Mike Bibby
Brad Miller

Why for SAC :

A rebuilding team cannot pass up the chance to get a young big man with promise and draft picks . They dump Bibby and Miller's contracts and pick up three expirings as well as Nene . Nene would work well with a skilled big man like Hawes and this gives the Kings an intriguing core of Martin / Hawes and Nene . Now all they need would be to grab a Tywon Lawson , a Donte Green , a Chase Budinger, a Jerryd Bayless or a Derrick Rose and you have an exciting team to watch for the future .

C - Nene / Moore / Williams
PF - Hawes / Najera / Thomas
SF - Artest / Garcia / Newble
SG - Martin / Douby
PG - Salmons / Udrih

* ( Diawara would likely be cut and return to the Nuggets )

Rip away . . . . .

Nene is experiencing very serious health problems at the moment...and I doubt the Nuggets would trade him for Hughes under any circumstances anyway. MAYBE K-Mart.

Done, I don't think we need to give up 2 1st round picks though.

Hell no from Sacramento's POV...I would have a hard time considering that package for Bibby/Thomas.

Guess what guys, I was RIGHT, Brad Miller is a 15/10/4 player, get used to it.

Oh, sorry, all hail Smills!

He's only accomplishing it on a team with a bunch of injuries, making him the go-to guy...

Nene is one of the worst contracts in the NBA, automatic pass from Sacramento.

Nene has cancer or some other serious medical condition, so he is out of any trade talks right now.

And if he didnt have a serious condition, this would be a hellz no form denver.

Nene is pretty much untradable right now. No one here has ANY idea what his medical condition is. If its something that could force him to retire then he would come completely off of the Nuggets cap. If he were traded and is then forced to retire then his new team wouldn't get any cap relief at all.

The fact is, he's done it his ENTIRE career, except last year, which is an aberration due to the fact he suffered through lingering/nagging injuries. He's not a bad contract, he's a top level center.
