19.0 ppg, 6.2 rpg, 4.2 apg in 37.9 minutes

2008 Unprotected 1st

The Rights to Fran Vazquez ( Lottery Pick 05 Has stated that he is ready to contribute Next Season if he can If Not it will be the Season After)

Outgoing Players

Joey Graham 6-7 SF from Oklahoma State
4.0 ppg, 2.4 rpg, 0.3 apg in 11.0 minutes

Juan Dixon 6-3 PG from Maryland
4.6 ppg, 1.3 rpg, 1.4 apg in 12.0 minutes

Andrea Bargnani 7-0 PF from Italy (Foreign)
9.4 ppg, 3.4 rpg, 1.0 apg in 22.9 minutes

Why for Tor: They get their SF Turk ( avg 20/6/4) who do wonders for their Team and Bosh , Arroyo is the Other Piece Tor Gm is looking for Back Up guard Let Ford rest the Season and Comeback strong Next year
Plus unprotected 1st Round Pick

Why for Orl: They get Bargnani who will be great next to Dwight . I know his value is Low but Bargnani be our PF . I think Magic losing Turk is hugh considering he Put up good #'s and has been our Go-to in 4th. Graham would back Lewis for limited mins and Dixon would be good scoring option of the Bench

Although there are many things wrong with this, it's an extreme case of acquiring an asset at its peak value in exchange for one that couldn't be worth less.

Be patient.

We are playing 500 ball without Bargs and TJ. Why would you be in a hurry to trade Bargs?

i'd rather wake up one morning to hear that Bargnani retired to start a career in professional soccer than to see that trade having even the slightest potential of going through...

I'm rather shocked that Orlando would trade Turk, considering his performance this season. No clue whether I'd make that trade, though.

Not bad value wise, but i can't help but feel if we get rid of Bargs too soon it might come back to bite us like Jermaine Oneal with the Blazers...

the stats say he's averaging 19.0 points per game. why did you say he's averaging 20 in your summary?

I would probably take that deal if I'm Toronto

Turk is still fairly young. He is definitely at a peak, but would be a nice fit on our team.

Vasquez I think has the potential to be an Andris Biedrins.

Arroyo is a solid backup PG

Orlando's first could end up being in the mid teens as they are starting to slide.

We can't expect to get 1st pick value for Bargs, because Bargs' value probably should have been closer to a 5-8th pick. Just because we took him high doesn't mean he is worth that value.

Look at what Detroit ended up getting for Darko, and he still isn't exactly tearing up the box scores.

So where does Turkoglu play. Not power forward. Does he put Moon on the bench? How does that help our defence, or shot blocking, or rebounding? Does it make us tougher? What do we do with Kapono?

And when Ford comes back, Arroyo is in a suit.

So, how does such a trade improve us?

Oh, let's not forget that Orlando's pick will be in the late teens or 20s. And Fran Vasquez probably projects as a backup 4.

Now, look at Turkey's salary, and consider that he's playing over his head this year vs his past.

He's not so young - 29, and he's so far above his career scoring average (19 pgg vs career 11 ppg) that Hollinger would invoke his fluke rule.

Still like the trade?

It's basically Bargnani for a low first, a backup 4 (I'll go with Hump instead) and a chucker who is likely to revert to form and has years of salary to go, meaning it will reduce our cap space, possibly make it impossible to keep Delfino or improve ourselves in the summer of 09.

If rebounding and toughness are our problems, how does this solve it?

Turks value is at the highest while Drea is at the lowest. Does it sound like a good time to trade? I think NOT.
