Post#1 » by TB#1 » Mon Jan 14, 2008 10:07 pm

One of the rocks upon which RealGM was built succumbed to cancer.

Thought the Bulls board should know.

RIP. He could be as homer as hell, but he was a fun guy to debate. Prayers are with his family.

Really sad news. Can't say I knew him, but from reading the comments and stories he sounded like a really cool guy. Particularly the message from the banned member, that was pretty moving.

Rest in peace, pacerfan.

OT - Death on the Pacers board

Post#4 » by TNBT » Sat Jan 19, 2008 7:19 am

I only heard about it from the Off Topic board, but PacerFan who I believe was a mod on the Pacers board has passed away from cancer. I left my condolences and those for the rest of the Bulls board, but I thought it would be nice if some of my fellow Bulls fans were to visit the Pacers board as well, as the RealGM family needs to pull together right now.

I heard about this a few days ago. I did not know him that well, but what I did know was that he was an amazing contributor to his board and a loyal fan. I give my condolences to his friends and family, and may he rest in peace.

And btw, I have to give props to the rgm higher ups for putting "PF" for Pacerfan on the mod logos. That was a great sign of respect.

I agree. Very nice of them to do that out of respect for PacerFan.

It's sad news, we actually had our own thread on this board a few days ago, it got little response though as I think people preferred to drop by the original thread on the Pacers board.

Again, RIP PacerFan.

Very sad, he was a great mod for the Pacer's board...to hear all the great things he did from the pacer mods brings tears to my eyes. RIP...wish I would have known him better.

Incidentally, the PF on our mod badges is for "Pacers Fan."

Salute.

Sometimes you wonder when some people stop showing up if they have in fact passed away. I must say that I feel a deep sorrow for RealGM and the Pacers board because they have lost a great leader and a excellent poster. He will be missed.

RIP PacerFan.

Wow that's incredibly sad. He seemed like a really nice guy and I wish I had a chance to talk to him.

RIP Pacerfan.
