Sacramento - Miami --- Bibby to save Miami | No 3rd team
Kings deal:
Mike Bibby
Kenny Thomas
Heat deal:
2010 1st round pick (top 3 protected)
Jason Williams
Udonis Haslem
Smush Parker
Gives the Kings what they need to rebuild, gives the Heat what they DESPERATELY need to right the ship.

And to add, Bibby's not saving our season. Just, pretty much don't want him unless you buy him out, and even then, I'd be happier rebuilding. We're flawed. Bibby doesn't change that, and the downgrade from Haslem to Kenny Thomas is putrid...

Clever, but honestly Miami needs a floor general to fix their problems and Bibby's one of the best in the business there. He also is one of the top 3 point shooting PG's in the league which is exactly what Miami needs.
If Miami rolls out a line-up of:
C: Shaq
PF: Thomas
SF: Davis
SG: Wade
PG: Bibby
on a nightly basis they'll make the playoffs IMO. Funny thing is that Bibby/Thomas seem to always play well together on the court when they see court time together. I think Thomas will surprise many if he were to be traded and basically be a poor man's Udonis. He'd probably grab 8-9 rebounds while scoring 8-10 points a night and playing adequate defense. He's not as good as Udonis, but for taking a 'salary dump' there, he'd actually provide a lift in production than what's anticipated in the initial thoughts of the trade. He pulled down a double double for the sixers the last time he was a starter in the Eastern conference and I think he could come close to doing it again.

I don't think Riley's given up on the season. GM's aren't nearly as fickle as fans are. And I think people have forgotten just how good of a PG Mike Bibby is.

I'm sure he hasn't. That doesn't mean he's lost leave of his senses, though. This trade is ridiculous. We have no desire to trade Haslem, no desire to pay Kenny Thomas, and no reason to think that Bibby is healthy enough to "save our season".
And I think people have forgotten just how good of a PG Mike Bibby is.
I wonder why?

^Of course everyone has. you can't blame them since he's been injured all year and the down year he had last year. I say let Bibby return and after everyone evalutates his play then make trade proposals. IMO the Kings will end up moving Bibby for financial reasons..I just cant see the Maloofs ever wanting to pay the tax.

No I just included Haslem into the deal. I didn't add more...I'm assuming that Williams/1st is what's being discussed, but that Petrie wants a Haslem/Thomas swap to push the deal through.

Um, and that Bibby has missed all 3 of those games, in addition to all the other non-televised ones.

When you don't see a team play(I have LP so I don't get this) you lose track of players on the other side of the country etc. Whether he's played or not, people forget about him for that reason. He's been really good, for a really long time.

I didn't think I needed to use the green font for that reply, but apparently.
He's been forgotten for a reason. Last year, he shot 40% from the floor, which is abysmal. This year, he hasn't played. So, basically, that's a year and a half of him being subpar to non-existent...

That's fine and dandy, but when it comes down to the rubber meeting the road, he's too good of a player to not bounce back from 'thumb/wrist' injuries. These aren't knees/ankles/backs....they're wrist's and thumb's. He's 29 fully in the midst of his prime. Could he take a few weeks to bounce back, Sure, but then, you got yourself a top level PG on the relative cheap that had he not been injured, you wouldn't get any other way.
