Classy city? Bargs is getting JUST treatment. No one is booing him. People want him to succeed. He has expectations and he hasn't lived up to any of the hype so far.

On the other hand you have a guy like TJ who can do NO RIGHT. Arguable the heart and soul of this team, and he gets bashed for scratching his forehead on the bench.

I'm surprised that one of these Euro Fan boys haven't thrown a banana peel onto the court or something like they do in Spain to their black soccer players.

People are too much.

Lol.. the TJ fanboy somehow manages to bring TJ in the whole discussion and give it a racial spin. Why am I not surprised?

Incase you haven't noticed, there have been FAR more anti-bargz thread than anit-TJ threads and people have been critical of Bargz left, right and centre.

Last time I checked, neither one of them got booed by the crowd, so what are you basing your racial argument on?

With TJ, people have a reference point in Jose and make a good case of comparison between the two and therefore, TJ is held responsible whenever raps play poor. With Bargz, there isn't a comparable player on the raps roster (Humphries isn't really a comparison as he has widely been termed as a role player), maybe thats why people are giving Bargz the benefit of the doubt. But to pin it all on racial profiling, is just plain stupid and ignorant on your part.

TJ has been nothing short of fantastic in his tenure with the Raptors. He brings it every game, and has established himself as an elite PG in the NBA. He's a competitor, and wants to win. There is no reason to boo him or hate him.

Can you say the same for Andrea?

What's the reason to hate on anyone?

I thought Grange had an interesting insight into AB's character in today's blog. He didn't go out of his way to shake Aldridge's hand before tipoff. He was jacked up. Unfortunately, after making a couple of buckets in the first few minutes, he got into foul trouble. But the presumption that he doesn't care is more one of perception than reality, a reflection of a stone face. And do you not think that he wants to win? Why wouldn't he want to win? I actually think Joey Graham wants to win, too. He just hasn't translated his gifts into effective action, but don't tell me that he doesn't want to win either.

After getting poked pretty good lately from all sides I was kind of eager to see if Bargnani was ready to lay it on the line and tell people to stick it, basically. He looked like he had good intentions in New York on Friday but early foul trouble ruined that. So with that in mind I was watching Bargnani as the two teams lined up for the jump yesterday. It

The only explanation I can come up with is that his foresight is actually his hindsight because he certainly seems to talk out of his ass a lot, so I figure he's a got a lot of optic nerves running through that region as well

to answer the original post ... fans pay to cheer or boo whomever they want ... it would be up to Bargnani to remain professional about it ... hell, Nash got booed out of the building some nights in his early Mavericks career, we all know how that turned out, but not saying Bargs will ever be an MVP candidate ... another thing, hindsight is always 20-20, we can make the argument all we want about the Raps should've picked: Roy, Aldridge or Gay ... But reality is, could any team justified picking Roy or Gay number 1 overall at the time? ... I don't think any of the lottery teams would have ... I don't think anyone expected Aldridge as good as he is now, this early in his career ... BC's said that Bargnani is a 5-year plan, but unfortunately Raps fans and RealGMers in particular are not that patient ...

There you go making baseless accusations again.

Is there any evidence, or proof for that matter, that even suggests that Andrea doesn't 'bring it' or doesn't 'want to win', or are you just pulling things out of your a*s.

i think we have a right to boo if we want to. this franchise has wasted a lot of picks on underachieving power forwards. we should all thank god that darko was taken before bosh, because guess who'd we be stuck with if he was still available?

Fixed. And WTF is with us constantly drafting PFs and trying to make them Cs?

I hope Bargs turns the season around soon as I can't wait for his bashers to start eating the crap they have been spewing about him. Roy is awesome and very polished but Bargs will be better. Bargs is starting to show flashes of his greatness and simply needs more practice time to work on rebounding positioning.

Do you know what bi-polar means?

In any event, I was somewhat shocked last game when Mr. Swirsky made some, if not critical, at least non-apologetic comments about Bargs' rebounding.

I suppose the glass is entirely full way to look at that is that maybe this is what Bargs needs; an end to the coddling.

Because he can do better, and we pay good money to see him do better.

Everyone 'wants to win.' But when you a paid vast sums of money to play basketball, the least you can do is show up mentally prepared to play. 'Getting jacked' isn't the same as being prepared - it's just getting jacked. If he was prepared to play well, AB wouldn't have got those cheap fouls, would have worked harder to rebound and wouldn't have jacked shots like an idiot. If he really cared about performing well, he would have prepared himself more appropriately.
