Not only does if feel like playoff basketball, the longer these teams play the less imposing the Celtics seem. Garnett is clearly flustered even though he's having a decent game.

DeShawn's confident. Mason's confident. Young's confident.

The Celtics have held Butler and Jamison totally in check and Daniels hasn't been a factor. Haywood's fumbled passes and looked sluggish. Blatche is in foul trouble. Songaila can't hold on to the ball ....

YET the Wizards only trail by 2.

Washington can beat this team again.

^^^ I just find it amazing that we're going toe-to-toe on defense with the best defensive team in the NBA. I think we all knew that the Wiz were capable of playing good D but THIS good? Randy Ayers is my hero.

Well, I'm a biased C's fan, but I think only Ray really looks different. KG and Pierce are still scoring pretty effeciently and regularly lately, but Allen has lost a step very quickly. He's noticeably different from the player he was last year and the beginning of this season, I'm quite dissapointed. Hopefully it's still just rust from the ankle surgery and he'll get his game back in shape.

As for the offense being poor, no doubt the Wiz have impressed me with their D. But as much as you guys joke about him, Rondo does actually set up our offense pretty darn well and there's a noticeable difference when he's gone. We got off to a fast start offensively, but he hasn't gotten much time with his back and we've struggled. He doesn't fill the stat sheet, but he sets the tempo well and really facilitates things for the team. Without him, Pierce and KG have to focus on playmaking a lot more.

that's what I was saying earlier. Sometimes being at home, esp
when you're expected to win, can be a lot of pressure to deal with.
We're very much in this game and Pine/Nate are right - playoff
atmosphere/style. It's VERY impressive that we're going toe-toe
with them in this style of game. Who'd a thunk it?

Defense can keep us in the game but to win it we have to do something offensively. Caron or AJ have to get it going; that's our only chance of coming up with the W.

gotta go pick up my daughters so I'll be recording this to watch later

GO WIZARDS!

ps - CCJ I agree that a gifted O player like N! could be a huge
help in this type of game. Just like Gil would be.

DeShawn Stevenson is turning into our Bruce Bowen.

Expected to defend the opponent's best outside player every single night.

Don't leave him alone behind the arc.

I'm liking the signing a lot more lately. Who the heck is JCN again??

It totally feels like playoff basketball only I havent seen us do this well defensively in the playoffs. The whole team is playing tough D. Even AJ comes out with the monser block.

We could make it past the first round easy playing like this. Ive been waiting to see this from this team for over a decade. This is it. This is the best I have ever seen this team play. And it shows. Toe to Toe with Boston on back to back games and hanging with them at home in the 2nd.

We are going to learn a ton for playing in these games. This is really challenging our offense but we are hanging in there and figuring out how to play in games like this. Our D is playing as good as the best defensive team in the league. CAN YOU FEEL THAT. THATS SWEET.

Shots are tough to come by but we aren't seeing a lot of stupid shots and that's a good thing. Everyone is involved and carrying the load.

THIS IS AWESOME

If we can take this 2nd game, that's going to put up on the national map this season.

I disagree. We don't need any one or two player to do it. We need a little bit from everyone just like we are getting. A 3 or 2 from CB would help a ton but we don't just need CB and AJ.

We need to keep doing what we are doing. That's what won the first one and has us neck and neck in the second.

We need some more BH in the post and getting some FTs. A few more DS3s. A little Mason. A AB put back. A NY drive.

We do can this thing. We need another team win.

I've freakn proud as crap about the way they are playing.

Piierce with the no call charge then scores! Right after Jamison scores 2 for Boston on a fluke.

That sucks.

Thanks AJ for giving Boston momentum... That was a killer. Pierce got away with a charge though of course.

I know AJ has been working his butt off, but good lord has he been frigid from the field this season. Just abysmal.

As I type this, he scores for the other team. LOL

I always thought the refs wore black and white. Not green and white.

AJ blew this one. Scoring a bucket for Boston and fouling Allen on a 3 have probably put the final nail in the coffin.
