KG probably thought that the shot clock was running out. Even though there was 10+ seconds left, that possession seemed quite long.

And despite all that, they were in a position to put the game away minutes ago had Rivers recognized and reacted sooner.

Yeah, it was sloppy. But there were 8 seconds left and the shot clock was right in front of him. Whatever, we've got the lead.
