This was the best I've ever seen the Wizards play since... since...
since the Wes Unseld days.

Wow. That is truly something else. This is the best Wiz game I've seen since that Gil shot over Hinrich in the playoffs a couple years back.

Not just a win over a really, really good team, but the WAY they did it.

A 28-3 run to close out the game. On the Celtics homecourt. Against a team that's not going through the motions but actively looking for revenge. Without Gil, and they had all their stars.

Very, very impressive win.

Was Pierce talking smack to Butler at the end as Caron blew by him?

Great game guy and a well deserved win.

I really wonder how these Celtics announcers were when their team was sucking last year. They definitely get my vote for the most "homer" announcers I have listened to so far.

They won because they wanted it more. Just a tough, gritty effort. Nobody was hot. Nobody really played well. No superstar to bail us out. They just played D, rebounded, and executed down the stretch.

Great TEAM WIN.

Everyone picked in on the toughest DEFENSE that has been played in DC basketball in the last 10 or 20 years.

Over the last two games the Wizards have probably played the best defense I've seen since I can remember. Everyone hustling, everyone staying disciplined. Even Jamison made plays on D. Awesome stuff. This team may be really scary by time the playoffs roll around and Arenas is back to full strength.

PREDICTIONS:

Things that will happen because of this win.

- AJ and Caron will both be voted into the All Star game by the coaches.

- Speaking of coaches, all but certain EJ will be our coach next year just on the strength of this team's performance under him while Gil was out.

- Unless he can get an obvious, stupendous steal, no way EG breaks the team that was on the floor up with a trade. Just too hard to justify.

- This team is officially Caron's when the game is on the line. He hit all the big shots we needed him to tonight. But leadership, notice who was jawing in his ear at every stoppage of play? AD and AJ.
