If it comes down to Butler or Pierce for the All Star game, I think the balance has now unquestionably swung to Caron.

I totally agree. Ayers is an unsung hero here. He's done an amazing job.

It's also amazing to see how much Caron has improved. Right now Caron > Pierce. No question.

What's most impressive is this was not a fluke.

The Wizards deserved both wins.

Sweet justice that Boston has the D coach that was going to come here but changed his mind.

That's call Icing baby. So sweet.

When was the last time the Wiz won against an elite level team by any other way than outrunning, outgunning them? Tonight, the D kept us in it, gave us a chance. Very impressive.

Could we do that with Gilbert? I tell you one thing, when and if he gets back this year, he better adjust to the way this team is playing and not the other way around.

Boston's D coach earned his paycheck.

Up until the Wizards went on that final run Caron had been held in check and the Wizards were shooting in the 30s. Thibodeau is good.

But SO IS AYERS!

This game should be a catalyst for the rest of the season. I can't believe that this team is playing the level of defense they are playing, didn't think that they were capable.

Just completely satisfying!!!

Sigh. I don't know why I have to go over this again and again with you people.

Even if Arenas is cut, we wouldn't have any cap room. The best we could do is use the MLE to pick up a guy like Duhon or Cassell. No thanks.

All you people questioning how we'd be WITH arenas... that's just silly. PERIOD. He's one of the top 10 players in the league. We have shown we CAN play well without him, and the team has evolved defensively during that time, however we still lack the firepower we need to be a powerhouse team. You add Gil back into the equation and this team is a top 5 team in the league. Now let's stop the crazy gil hating talk because it's just a silly conversation.

For all the Haywood bashing, Brendan had 14 points, 7 rebounds and was 6-6 from the line. (Ray Allen only had 16, Pierce 18 ).

Next to Stevenson's +19, Brendan was second overall at +11.

No way would the Wizards have won this game if BTH doesn't lock down Garnett at the end.

Man, I hope you are right.

That is THE question now. Not whether we can survive without him, but whether Gil can fit in again.

Ive been waiting for this team to do this for a long time. I know we could. The roster you saw wasnt any different then what we had last year. We alway could have done this.

Haywood and Blatche played geat D.

Its just a better strategy. You lock them down defensively and you wear them out and frustrate them. We have people who can score.

Both teams played great but they looked a little older when he mattered the most.

AFter holding Boston to 78 and 83 points, are the Wizards better without Gilbert?

I don't understand why all of those trolls weren't banned for posting over here. There were a few of them who were definitely trolling. Over on the Celtics board, all Wiz posters' posts were deleted almost immediately.

Blocks against; in other words, how many times your shot was blocked.
