Then sign Gary Payton. All I kept reading on the Wizards board was "well, Rajon Rondo was out" as if Rajon Rondo is supposedly one of the big reasons your team is 30-6 or whatever it is now. It was a pitiful excuse. You lost, big **** deal, you guys play again this week.

Wizards were down 14 with like 4 minutes to play in the 4th, and still won. Until what point will I stop hearing "we lost to a below average team?" And we won both games without our best player.

Don't think I don't credit your team for winning. Caron did incredibly at the end on both ends of the court. Haywood also killed us on the boards.

If anything I'm adding more wood to the fire of those that said at the beginning of the season that the Celtics downfall would be their lack of depth at the Center and PG positions. This lack couple of games has proved them right to an extent since the offense just doesn't flow when House or Allen are running. As for Payton, he's done. I don't think there is anybody out there right now that would fit especially since the C's are out of trade chips.

I know your a C's hater but even you've got to admit that his defense this year is better than in the past. I wouldn't consider him a great defender by any means but at least now he's can be considered a two way player.

Actually I do agree that it's better than recent years, and significantly better than last year when it hit an all-time low. Pierce really uses his athleticism well when defending and that's why it's not that odd to see him block another perimeter player's shot or steal the ball from them.

Help defense wise he still needs to improve there, also while not as bad as last year there are times when he tends to lose focus and plays his man too casually.

So yeah I basically agree with your statement he's no longer a liability on defense.

Up until the last two phenomenal plays from Butler, even Wizard's fans were complementing Pierce's defense.

And still jealous that the majority of people said Pierce's defense this year was better than Vince's?

At some point, I got to wonder, which one would you prefer: the Nets doing good or the Celts doing bad?

Pierce was never a liability on defense: you make him sound like he was Nash or something.

Throughout his career, Pierce has ranged from the slightly below average defensive player to slightly above average defensive player. At this point, he is playing the best defense of his career and his at the above average point.

As a Wizards fan, I'll second that. Pierce played Caron tough as hell most of the game.

Manu Ginobili with 4 threes in the last three minutes (or so), for a total of 16 pts in the 4th qtr

One hell of a shooting stretch there. Solid W for SA over Philly, who played them tough until the last few minutes.

Dirk needs to back Garcia down and not just try to shoot fadeaways over him. He's too good to be doing that. Garcia is 6'7

Kwame brown should be arrested for robbing 9 million dollars from the Lakers and Washington.
