There Will Be Blount!

Post#1 » by shrink » Tue Jan 15, 2008 3:13 pm

Was Blount's 27 PT performance last game any indication he'll be waking up, or was it just a function of a lack of other options at center? He played particularly well for MIN last year in January and February, particularly as a shooter, but he even had a game or two he played well defensively (man-on-man against Duncan). I am guessing its a mirage, but is there any hope for optimism?

27 points is a mirage, but he can be a decent rotation player in the post. I was a little puzzled when Zo went down and Blount kept racking up the DNPs.

Great thread title.

If he gets injured, we can have one called "No Blountry for Old Men."

3 rebounds.

The guy is one of the softest and most lackadaisical players I've ever watched. His lack of effort is infectious.

Sometimes I swear that he's autistic. He'll just stand there with a cross-eyed stare as guards cruise untouched through the lane. He's like an idiot savant with a jumpshot.

Yeah all he can do is stroke it. I've never seen a seven-footer, or even a C for that matter, get blocked as much as he does. He's incredibly soft and slow to react. I'll take the points he gives us, but I won't forget that he gives them up on the other end with his shoddy defense and lack of rebounding. He's big for nothing.

Yeah, he's a decent player as long as he's playing alongside an enforcer in the paint.

Being such a bad team is gonna inflate the numbers of a lot of our players.

Trade Blount and Ricky for Wally. It's worked before...
