However, give me a break. Prove something long term or over the span of more than a week and we'll talk.
Plus we still only scored 87 points with that outburst, so I'm not quite ready to celebrate our potential "new offensive leader" as of yet.
I agree he needs to sustain it for longer before any 'i told you so's' are made (this thread is seriously tempting fate by the way), but if your blaming the guy who went 9 of 12 for 23 points and 3 assists (which should have been more like 6 but several wide open J's were missed off his passes) for our low offensive output, well.........

one thing is for sure, he is becoming our leader out on the court. He's vocal and this is becoming his team. I think the guy needs to be the alpha dog for this team to get away from the chuck-a-lot O. I feel like he turned a corner and you don't need stats to prove it. He is a whole different player this year and if people can't see that there blind or they can't get over their old bias's. You people where wrong and this "Big white stiff" has game, even if it took awhile to adjust. OPEN YOUR EYES, HATERS!

He's playing with confidence. The guy is a confidence player. If he is getting touches and making shots he will dominate, but if he is missing shots and not getting touches he will slouch and look horrible. The easy solution to this is, get him the ball around the hoop and he'll produce. Even on the top of the key he's producing with that dribble drive of his. You all saw that poster slam over Boozer last night. That was awesome! When have we seen that from Bogut? It's only when he's confident. It really is that easy.

People are morons.
How was bogut ever supposed to average over 12 ppg before this stretch?
He never got the damn ball on a consistent basis.
Now the lightbulb finally went off in LK"s head and they are starting to realize the importance of feeding bogut in the post throughout the course of the game.
The next step is for LK to keep that emphasis throughout the 4th quarter as well so the bucks can close out this game.
Like Pressey said, for the bucks to really make that step towards being a good young team they need to trade one of the two guards (and I also think Simmons needs to be packaged as well for any team to acquire them), to get a more unselfish team oriented approach.

Oh, no.
Just saying that until things are going well offensively in general, I'm not quite ready to celebrate.

You just wait, soon people will be complaining about Yi.
Yi will be the new person to hate on this board, and Bogut will move out of the spotlight.
Funny thing is, people here cannot admit that they were wrong. I have heard nearly every one of you say Bogut isnt any good, he dosnt bring 100% every night, he is inconsistent blah blah blah.
He is a very solid center who has played well every game this season for us so far, do not take that for granted. He is making improvments each season and I predict he will sonn be on the verge of being an All Star player.

.
Yes, because Larry K wanted to not emphasize his center. He's not really a low post, big man oriented guy or anything.
But then the light bulb just went on. Recently.
Please.
Good players demand the ball and earn touches from NBA vets based on their play. Good players get theirs on the court eventually not matter what the style of play.
Maybe it was more Bogut's unselfish play. But before this week, he had GOTTEN MORE FG attempts and FT attempts than last year, and rewarded us with less PPG and a much lower FT percentage.
As well as he has gotten more touches every year.
In any case, I have always thought that the kid should grow into a 17/9 guy. Maybe he is finally developing the confidence he needs.
I hope so. Good signs this week.

I agree with what you are saying about the hate/lack of patience with young players especially on this board.
But before this week, there have been some areas of Bogut's game that appeared to have regressed--among them his FT shooting.
I don't and most people never expected Bogut to be a star, but some of this is also to be expected with #1 pick status...

Bogut is still averaging 13/9... That's not very impressive, especially since he has just put up some big games.
He has been amazing since the New Year, if he keeps this up then he will clearly be a far superior player to what I thought he was. A good five or six game stretch doesn't define a player though.
Mo just came off a hot streak where he put up amazing numbers, I can't believe one of the delusional Mo posters didn't start a thread saying "I told you so, this guy is the next Allen Iverson".
Bottom line is you have to do it for an extended period of time in the NBA to prove anything... This stretch of games has been great, but he needs to keep it up.

I saw Mo compared to Iverson not once but twice in the past week.
Nothing will not break me.

If he keeps being aggressive around the hoop he'll be fine. Before he would fade away with those jump hooks and just flip them up there. I know from experience that they don't go in. It's like bad karma, the ball didn't like how you shot it, so it doesn't go in. If you really go up aggressive with the hook shot the ball rewards you with 2 points. Also, Bogut's dunks are a lot more athletic and powerful looking. In the 4th quarter he did a double pump dunk in the lane. Before he would try to dunk over someone and always miss, yesterday he made Boozer a poster. Andrew Bogut's two words he needs to keep repeating to himself are Aggressive and Confident.

I obviously am a big Bogut fan, but I don't like this thread.
Just because a player is good for a few games, does not mean that everyone should repent their criticisms of past mediocre performances in my opinion.
