So I take it your are completely throwing saves?

I would probably try and trade Konerko for a top flight 3B until Teahen is ready to break out. You still have Jackson at 1B/CI and Teahen can still be CI/OF. Also 3B is not as deep as 1B talent wise so having a top tier 3B is more valuable than a second top tier 1B.

I would trade Harden because he wont ever pitch a full season and has been diagnosed with Mark Prior Disorder. I would probably think of dropping a SP or 2 (Jennings, Robertson) for a middle reliever to help you in ERA and WHIP since you are throwing saves.

I do have Valverde who has 7 saves so I wouldnt say Im throwing saves completely. I also have Owens who was just names the Fla closer. Plus when Jones blows a few more by mid season ill have a stud in Zumaya. I guess Teahan is sucking right now. Im trying to trade Harden but people are wary bc of his recent scare.

First off, H2H or Roto. Aways list this along with league settings.

Trading Konerko or Harden is a bad idea at this point, unless you get a good offer. Konerko is historically streaky so, especially in roto, you don't want to accumulate his bad stats just to trade him before he gets hot.

To compare Harden to Prior is laughable. Rumor is Prior abused PEDs, though I don't believe it. It's simple mechanics and freak injuries. Nevertheless, he is no Harden and Harden is no Prior.

3B is very deep this year, overall 3B across the league are only 3 points behind 1B in eqa. Because of how many 1B eligible players are used at other positions, it's tough to say how the scarcity will work out in your league. For your purposes I think it's best to consider the difference marginal.

Unless you can guarantee an RP will have a 2006 Zumaya or just about any Scot Shields year, dropping an SP like Roberson is a poor move, one that is relative to Max IP, amongst other variables. Since you already have Zumaya, I would strongly advise against dropping for replacement level RP.

If this is roto, I'd be trading for a closer. If h2h I'd trade Valverde before he hits bumps in the road.

H2H league

Its a head to head league. Do you think offering up Harden and Konerko for Wright would be foolish? Given that konerko puts up the same numbers as wright sans the stolen bases is it worth giving up Harden?

I'd try Konerko/Valverde first. No one can really say if trading Harden is a good idea or not. Personally I'd keep him.

yea well then id be dumping saves and I dont think thats a good idea. Jones blew his second save of the season and I think at some point this yr zumaya will have the job. Then I will have pretty good closers. I think im going to wait until Harden comes back with two or three good starts and trade him. If not it was my mistake drafting him in the first place.
