Delfino making no sense

Post#1 » by hoffas tats » Wed Jan 16, 2008 5:18 am

Can someone try to explain what Carlos is talking about when he said the following after the Pistons game?

***

The Pistons led by as many as 13 in the second quarter, but former Pistons guard Carlos Delfino scored 14 points, including a buzzer-beating layup, to cut the margin to 51-50 at the half.

"This is where I had the best years of my career, so it is always nice to come back to this arena and play well," Delfino said. "When we are making shots, we're good. In the second half, we didn't make shots and just fell down."

***

Umm, Mr. Santa Fe, I really don't think you can say you had your "Best years of [your] career" in Detroit... let alone a best YEAR.

He's just nostalgic about the shower scene he had with Rasheed.

"Best" as in he was with a group of guys who he all got along and had a ton of fun together.

It may be a surprise, but winning 64 games and being the 9th guy off the bench might be "better" to some people than being .500 and playing a few more minutes per game.

In the first half of Tuesday's game against Toronto, Rasheed Wallace saw that ex-Piston Carlos Delfino was guarding Richard Hamilton."You know 'los can't guard you!" Wallace told him. As it turned out, Delfino wasn't alone.

what was up with the interview? i just saw it, and turned on my ipod because i can't understand carlos, and the camera man is crazy enough....or maybe he liked it...lol....the camera man caught a naked jamario moon...well giving us the moon and a half naked joey G!

i know you have to interview them in the locker room, but my god, show some responsibility...this isn't a porno movie.

glad to see joey doesn't hate jamario for taking his spot. those two buff dudes were awfully close with their shirts off... :P

its official, i'm going to hell!

btw does chasin do those interview highlights anymore. is the dude still alive?

He's probably just being nice and saying nice things about the place he started his career and won a championship.

This thread has no merit.

He became a champion in Detroit, and won gold with Argentina during that time. Not to mention he had a lot of talent playing ahead of him in the D, a HOF coach... It shouldn't be surprising to anybody that he considers his years in the 313 the best ones.

Quick question: How many Championships has he won during his 38 game tenure with Toronto??
