Teams tend to win with relatively tight rotations, so that people can get into rhythm. Boylan played two players more than 30 minutes - Duhon and Thabo. Out of those 62 minutes, he got 16 pts, 5 TO, 8 assists, and 6 rebounds.

The rest of the minutes were scattered and slapshod.

It's like Boylan has no plan B to win when plan A - ride Ben Wallace and his effort, isn't working.

There are a lot of ego things going on with the team. But a cohesive strategy that you get players to buy into would help. Gordon might have been playing poorly (he shot ok), but without Kirk, playing him 15 minutes is inexcusable. He's earned the right to play through mistakes. Ditto Deng. The only player who has lost that benefit of the doubt is Ben Wallace with his uninspired play.

I understand the starting lineup - it's the same "play defense to keep it close and use Gordon off the bench against reserves" strategy. But the team isn't really buying it. The lack of FT's (and making them) is also troubling. Just throwing players out there without rhyme or reason doesn't count as strategy. It's pretty close to the bench clearing that Skiles did earlier.

The Bulls were supposed to contend, but instead look like they will be a low lotto team. This is, right now, one of the worst teams in the league. Jalen Rose and Crawford and Curry and Chandler were at least entertaining.

Meanwhile, Boylan has proven that he's simply using the same Skiles tactics. The honeymoon is over, and the bad part is beginning.

Rose, Gordon, Beasley, Mayo, or whomever! Just someone that can be a go to guy that isn't shorter than 6' 3:!

I've always heard you guys talk about how bad Ben Wallace is, but I thought you were just exaggerating. Every time he played Dwight he tended to go all out on him to prove something.

Tonight, I saw the light.

I really do feel bad for you. Usually teams can base the status of their team off of past teams to guage the future, but this is a total enigma. You guys are in a tight spot.

Seriously, what did Tyrus do to Paxson? Impregnate his daughter? Noah comes off a suspension for fighting with a coach and, apparently, a bunch of other infractions, and he's the first big off the bench. Tyrus enters after Adrian Griffin and plays the same amount of minutes as Viktor. It was great to see Noah perform well tonight, but this organization's hatred for Tyrus is ridiculous.

Awful.

One person worth mentioning, Thabo Sefolosha.

I'm really happy with how he has been playing as of late. It's not exactly great but it's reasonable, and he is looking much much more confident which is allowing him to play better. He actually knocked down a couple of jumpers and handled the ball fairly well.

Props to Thabo.

I never expected us to win, but I really thought we'd show some pride and make the game competitive. Complete blowouts 2 games in a row.

If the Bulls don't care anymore, why should I?

What would you guys take for Joe Smith. The Magic have several players on expiring contracts: Arroyo, Dooling, Evans, Garrity, Agustine. Would you guys take any of them?

I would take a guard that has an expiring deal, so at least one youngster might get more PT at the PF spot.

It's a shame that this is such a stinker of a season, because Joe Smith has been great.

Anyway, if I were the Bulls, I'd stick to this lineup until it clicks:

Thomas
Noah
Gordon
Thabo
Deng

And if it doesn't click, well, no great loss, we're losing with every other lineup we throw out there.

Yes we would take anyone of those for Joe Smith, and we would also throw in Ben Wallace for free.

So I get home at 8 central and I see Thabo, Griff, Viktor, Tyus and Noah on the floor.

Sadly it was some of the most entertaining basketball I've seen all year.

That's literally the only hope the team has... that the above lineup will be good together. I have no issues with not starting that lineup, because I have an ever-growing manlove for Joe Smith, but that lineup should play together at least 20 minutes a game.

I'm really tired of getting blown out with Ben Wallace sucking up minutes. He's miserable on both ends of the floor at this point.

never in my wildest dreams would i believe that Khrypa would outscore Ben Gordon in a game.

but coming off his 2 game suspension Noah posts his 1st double-double. that's a pretty big statement by the kid IMO.

Nope...not enough offense in that lineup for it to be successful. And you have no one to run the offense in that lineup. BG has proven time and again he's too careless with the ball to be the primary PG, and I don't think Thabo's one, either...

Replace Thabo with Hinrich in this lineup, but make Thabo the 3rd guard in the rotation instead of Duhon, so that Thabo gets to play 20-25 MPG (but he needs to be on the floor with either BG or Kirk for the majority of his PT, not paired with a non-offensive guy like Duhon). Besides Thabo, the only other reserves who should see significant time would be Smith, Nocioni and Gray. That's 9 guys. Ship Duhon out of town in some trade (won't get much back, since his deal is expiring and he's a back-up) and if can't trade Wallace (which probably won't be able to), just nail his butt to the bench. Who cares if he pouts? -- not me!

How can Pax and/or Boylan sit by any longer and watch the play of Ben Wallace without doing something ? Not that they care what others think, but, good grief, people are laughing at Ben's futility. This reflects poorly on the organization as a whole. Hopefully it won't be a gradual push of Ben Wallace out the door and it'll be abrupt, something sudden.

Geeze what was I thinking, when I suggested Ben Gordon at point guard.

They ought to start the Miami game with the players who finished the Orlando game.
