He'd definitely be a beast, when it comes to stats. That's for sure....

I'd argue that it would be better if Lebron played with a true playmaker like Nash. We all realize that Lebron can run the pointfoward position, but if we're pretending to put him on the suns, it would make more sense to have this team below playing 35 to 40 min a nite.

P - Nash
SG - Lebron
SF - Hill
PF - Marion
C - Stoudemire

Lebron's main issue is not having teammates that can score on a regular basis. On the suns, now you have given him tons of options. He'd be a scorer on this team, but now you can't double team as easily because he can now pass to others who can actually make a shot.

At the pace the suns run, you would see plenty of fast break points, along with plenty of assists to open shooters on the wings. Nash would run the pick and roll with Lebron and create all sorts of spacing. In other words, it would be bball heaven.

But more than anything else, I'd like to see him in the post more..

Odom for LBJ?

Obviously it would be a dream but if the suns somehow got Lebron in a trade more than likely Nash is going out or retired.

I think the lineup that probablt makes the most sense is:

PG Barbosa
SG Bell
SF James
PF Marion
C Stoudemire

I think for offensive purposes they do this. Barbosa is more scorer than passer but he is a PG. With a frontcourt of James,Marion, and Stoudemire you have the three headed freak athletes that do everything. Lebron in a real offensive system can learn how to use his passing skills correctly. Lebron with Barbosa will easily be the fastest two on the court with guys who all run. Three point shooters spread the court. I think Marcus Banks would actually improve coming off the bench since he would not have to be compared to Nash, he is also a scoring PG with good defense which Kerr loves. Diaw would become more versatile.

For Defense I think the lineup is:

PG James
SG Bell
SF Hill
PF Marion
C Stoudemire

I think you see the versatility against a team like SA. Marion plays Tony Parker because of the problems against long players. Bell plays Ginobli. Stoudemire plays Duncan. Lebron plays Oberto(yes, Lebron is 5 to 10 lbs more and is an inch shorter). Hill plays Bowen and is the Help defender.

I think the team would be rediculous. Oh and his averages

I'll echo everyone that as good as a playmaker as Lebron is, its still not nearly as good as he'd be as a finisher for a passer like Nash. Lebron is basically unstoppable when he has to create for himself from 30 ft. out while facing constant double teams. Imagine catching passes reasonably close to the basket before the defense has had a chance to respond to him? Running the point he could be like a much bigger Baron Davis, which is nice and all, but I'd rather force the defense to try to figure out a way to stop him when he catches it at 16 ft with deadly shooters all around him.

Still, since Nash is the Suns best player and the only player they have who is anywhere in the ballpark of Lebron in terms of calibre, I guess trading him for LBJ makes sense in a way.

In which case, he puts up like 30/9/10, but the Suns start to look more like the Warriors or Wizards (with Arenas) or something, a fastbreak offense with deadly scorers at many positions and some good passers, but a much more scoring oriented point guard and consequently less motion on offense. They might even be as good of a team as they are right now, simply because Lebron is so good that he could make up for it on sheer personal ability alone, but it would take some readjusting and something to alleviate the egos of Amare and Marion at having to take fewer shots. Nash is the ideal point guard for the system they run and they've built everything around him at this point. Plugging another, substantially different player in his place is going to be difficult no matter how good the new player is (and in lebron's case, I personally feel he's the best in the game).

The reason why the Suns are so successful is because they have Nash. Without Nash, they have no system.

Hypothetically-speaking, if LeBron adopts the system...he still wouldn't be able to score as many points in a team that has many talented scorers (e.g.: Amare, Marion, Barbosa, etc.) nor will he able to rebound as much with a couple of guys (e.g.: Marion & Amare) that get a big share of boards. His assist numbers and FG% will definitely go up.

What if LeBron actually played for the Suns today minus Nash (with LeBron as PG)? If he did, then the system will fail. The Suns doesn't need to add another player that has played the forward position before. The US Olympic team made the mistake of having so many forwards in their rosters that it was no wonder that they lost against teams like Greece and Argentina. The Suns would have to keep Nash while replacing Marion (a legit forward) with Monta Ellis (a legit guard) so that LeBron James can fit into a comfortable system.
