You are still trying to get balance???

Thabo can't be any worse than Duhon and Tyrus/Noah can't be any worse than Wallace. Gordon is better than hinrich so I don't know why this lineup would be any worse than what we are using right now?

Matter of fact, this lineup gives us more versatility/better defense and arguably good enough offense as well. Not to mention the energy level might go off the roof.

Gordon/Sefolosha is a worse defensive and a worse ballhandling backcourt than Sefolosha/Hinrich. Thabo and BG would likely combine for 8 TO/game, which would just kill the team. Neither Noah nor Thomas can be used in P/R like they use Smith, since neither can make jump shots. Gordon is going to get doubled all the time if this is the primary lineup -- and he's shown no ability to be able to pass the ball effectively when he is doubled or trapped.

Again, I'm not against developing the young guys. I want to develop them. I'm just saying it's stupid to bench many of the few productive players the Bulls DO have. What is wrong with starting Hinrich with Sefolosha and bringing Gordon off the bench? Or going back to the Gordon/Hinrich backcourt and using Thabo off the bench 25+ MPG? Or pairing Smith with either Thomas or Noah and bringing the other guy off the bench for 25+ MPG?

Yeah starting BG and Thabo would make us more turnover prone coz neither are great at ball handling but I would rather have them just up tempo the game more with more fast breaks and there are not that many frontcourt players that can keep up with Tyrus and Noah.

I have no problem starting Joe Smith alongside Noah instead of Tyrus but if we are planning on having Tyrus and Noah play together as a future then let them get used to each other and let them develop some offensive game as well. I think Noah can play in the post some and Tyrus can shoot jumpers some - together with Gordon and Deng's scoring and Thabo's versatility - we can be fun to watch and be solid at both ends.

Also, if you look at the screen and roll with BG and Wallace, that really really sucked mainly coz Wallace would just stand there and NEVER roll to the bucket - Tyrus and Noah never just stands there - they roll and they are athletic enough to finish around the rim million times better than Wallace would.

Tyrus does have a better jumper this year and I want him to shoot more and gain enough confidence that other teams have to come out and guard him.

I really think this can work - we just never tried it. Since it's a collapse anyways, I would definitely give this a try.
