I wonder about the CWebb talk. Would he help or hurt? There's just been something about that guy ever since he called timeout for Michigan. It's as though his incredible talent has been cursed with bad luck.
Interested to hear from the Laker faithful if they would prefer picking up CWebb for simply the pro rated veteran's minimum or if they'd prefer trading away Kwame Brown & a 1st for Kurt Thomas & a couple of 2nds (Denver's & Portland's).

The thing is, by trading Kwame Brown for another big man, we end up with same amount of big man on our roster. At this point, it is our lack of depth up front that concerns us the most. Although we could definitely use an upgrade in talent up front as well in the case of Odom and Brown in the near future as well. That's why I say we should sign Webber first before we make a trade. It does sound like CWebb has been a cursed man, but what do we have to lose? Kwame Brown injures himself during shower?

I would take that second trade and run home with it!

No, really? I think Memphis needs to throw in Gay and Conley too, they're getting way too much.
I wasn't aware that Warrick actually played. I am aware of the fact that Gasol isn't up to form in a faster pace offense, and although the Lakers play at the 5th fastest pace in the league, they do like to slow it down and work the ball around. Odom happens to thrive in the constant fast pace that the Grizzlies now have. He would be a good addition to the 4 spot for them, and Kwame/Stro are more than capable to back up the 4/5 positions. The Grizz also save money because the only way to do my proposed deal is by adding in Brian Cardinal. there you have it. my reasoning.
furthermore, the Lakers would throw in a first round pick (2008 or 2009)
Odom, Kwame, Crittenton, pick for Gasol, Cardinal, Warrick

wallace next to bynum would not be a good lineup. all of wallace's strengths would get diminished while his weaknesses would get magnified. wallace's rebounding and shot blocking take a back seat to bynum's superior rebounding/shot blocking while wallace's inability to spread the floor for a low post center would get completely exploited.
