Bulls @ Heat Postgame Thread: Battle of the underachievers..
Thabo. This is the most confident i have seen with his jumpshot. He has had a few good games in the past, but mainly on the defensive end. But tonight, he took his shots with confidence and with no hesitation. He was definitly a big suprise, and it goes to show what consistent mintues can do for a young players confidence. Its time to start him with either Kirk or Gordon.
Joe. He is just consistent and smooth. But again, if he is questionable the best player on our team, and our best front court player, we're a team in trouble. Considering he was only meant to be a cog in our system, and not a player we rely on so heavily. Im relieved that we have him on our team.
Gordon. He didn't shoot much, but he got to the line plenty.
Deng. He played well offensively. He passed the ball well tonight also. But im still down on him, because i know he'll never be the star we expected he would have been. He just doesn't have the killer-instinct to be a star in this league.
Noah. Played really great with a huge amount of energy, typical Noah basketball. You've got to give this guy the credit he deserves for taking all the bad publicity in stride and being professional. With all the distraction he still comes out and plays the same way. (nudge nudge) Kirk, Gordon and Deng. You guys could learn a thing or two from Noah about handling distractions...
Noc. I assure you, most of our players would not have played tonight if they took the same fall as Noc in last nights game. He was expected to miss a week, yet he plays the very next day and produces big for the team. He makes some boneheaded plays on occasions, but noone has a bigger heart on this team then Noc. If he was more fluent in English, he would be the undisputed leader on this team..
Wallace. He wasn't great, but he wasn't bad. On a positive note, he wasn't a negative for this team for the first time in a long time.
With all that being said, this was all against the Heat, one of the worst teams in the entire league this year. So with each positive you point out, you've got to repeat, AGAINST THE HEAT. But Thabo was just GREAT tonight, just because he has been so dreadful for the most part this season. He deserves all the credit for finally putting it together and manning up..

Bulls are worse than last year. But Miami is much much much worse than last year. So the gap between these teams remaining the same doesn't surprise.
The main thing a game like this is good for is building confidence. Certainly a booster for Thabo, who has seemed to find his footing while Kirk was out.
Deng and Gordon both had nice scoring nights together, which needs to happen against actual tough teams for us to win many games.
Heat - well good luck with the pick.

Switzerland. They stay neutral on everything. Great watches and chocolates.

Did the whoile "situation" and perhaps the season just finally build up and light a fire under there ass's
one things for sure. Sefalosha needs to start
with Kirk (pref) or Chris or maybe even Ben. But we need his size. There will be games he wont do well but we have to dfeal with that with Duhon anyway so why not give the young fella some much needed experience and time. He could still be the answer to our backcourt probs

Thabo has huge potential.
Wallace had a really good game, I don't think we should downplay it. Guarding shaq is TOUGH, Gray was getting dominated and making crazy fouls because he couldn't stop him. Wallace played him great and had some really nice dunks. Hell even his floater fade away was close to going in, and thankfully we had Noah to finish it.
Deng and Gordon were quiet but had good games.
Smith was awesome, what else is new?
<-- the smile
Noah had the hustle.
Noc is the dude. He's awesome. I think we need to keep him for the future, he's the kind of guy you'd want our young players to emulate. He's not the best player but the energy would be perfect to give to a guy like Tyrus...
Tyrus is getting lost in our system. I really want him to get more minutes like Thabo is getting. I think we'll need him against Goldenstate if we want a chance to even stay in the game.
A great win against an awful team, but this is the kind of win you'd expect so hopefully it'll bring their confidence back.
I expect a blow out next week though, against us. Golden State is just way too fast, and their three pointers are going to KILL us because that's where I think we're the worst now. Defending against the three.

Boylan just said "Ben Wallace really came through for us"
Was it Ben's 7 & 7 that impressed Boylan or was ti the fact that Ben allowed Shaq to double his season average that got Boylan moist?
We've got an idiot for a coach - again.

IMO, Thabo's slashing and athleticism more than make up for Deng's so to have them both on the wings for the future looks good IMO.
They still need a TRUE PG to make them much better in the backcourt though.
I'm still hoping Hinrich is moved while Deng & Gordon remain Bulls. He's the least talented of our small 'big 3'. Problem is, nobodies gonna want a 47 mill combo guard who's having a rough year.
