1-1 now on this trip guys. That's a decent start no matter how you measure it. Two days of rest now before getting after Boston. Here's hoping we can jump on them early like we did to the Nets and keep them on their heels.
EDIT: We definitely need to review game tape of the Wizards-Celtics games, the Wiz know how to play Boston better than anyone.

For Shaq, I think a 20/10 game would be what he would need to do for it to be good enough to keep the game close, and he's only done that three times this year. The only thing that scares me a bit is that the game against Chicago tonight was one of those. Also, Shaq has had the best average performances with one day rest, which is what he'll have this time.
Still, I think we'll be okay if we can pressure Wade and force Shaq to score 30 to win. I just don't think the big guy has it in him anymore, so I'm thinking this can be a full tilt blowout if we come out with our dander raised.

I am a little nervous about shaq. The nice thing about games at Boston is that nobody expects you to win, so you almost look good for keeping it close. Miami is different, and with Shaq back, there is potential for them to put up a good fight. It isnt for sure, and we may blow them out, but I dont want to get my expectations going too soon.

NJ - Nets don't have much of a homecourt advantage, and we should be rested because of the Toronto early start, Blazers win
Boston - we lose, by double digits
I'm now 3/3 in my predictions, but damn I wish I had been wrong about that last one. Tough loss last night, I think we'll beat them when they come to Portland.

Overall, I am fine with how our road trip is going. Yea, it would have been great to beat Toronto, and it would have been great to beat Boston, but we did blow out a veteran team on the road the second night of a back to back in which our best player played 54 minutes. We cant win every game, but lately we have been winning the games we should win, and winning a few games that we should probably lose (Denver, Utah)

2-2 now with Orlando coming up today. This road trip has been brutal with the back-to-backs. I hope our guys have something left in the tank because the Magic are a very good team but have a penchant for blowing second half leads which is where we excel. Hopefully we can come out of the gates swinging so we don't have to rely on the 4th quarter heroics of Roy and Super Trout.

Miami - easy win
Orlando - double digit loss, Joel's gonna have a frustrating night
Well so far this roadtrip has gone exactly as I expected, although it wasn't Howard that killed us in Orlando, it was a bunch of scrubs. As long as we win one of these last two, I don't think this is a bad trip. If we do lose the last two, OUCH, especially with Utah creeping up in the standings.

Atlanta - I honestly haven't seen a single Hawks game in the past 5 or 10 years, so who knows, I'll say we win
Miami - easy win

NO - I honestly think we can win this, because NO literally has no homecourt advantage and Byron Scott really isn't much of a coach, but I'll predict a loss because of an exhausted team looking forward to their own beds
This road trip went exactly as I predicted, every single game. I still think it was a successful trip. 3-4 against 7 good teams, 2 back-to-backs, and a ton of travel. Can't complain about that. I think this really bodes well, we've only solidified our position on this trip and I think we're headed for the postseason.
Return to Portland Trail Blazers
