By the way, San Antonio's also getting four boards a night in just 17 minutes from our old friend matt bonner. identical rebound rate to rasho, and bonner gets a lot more points and he still has a little upside. not looking like one of BC's better move.

Does Oberto really bring anything different to the table than Rasho? Nor does he really fit the desription of a 'banger' which at one time was the subject of this thread.

Did I miss something or did Hoffa turn into a solid NBA player after he left here? Maybe, just maybe, he was a scrub?

And where does the development of Bosh and Hump fit into this evidence that Sam can't develop bigs? Haven't they both shown huge development since they arrived here? And didn't Charlie and Bonner both improve while they were here too?

That's 4 big men right there that Sam had a positive influence on.

Like I said before. Bosh was here before Sam...True he wasn't the same player, but he seems to be the type of guy that can develop on his own just by watching and learning the game around him.

Hump was in Utah longer than he was here. And I seriously doubt that he didn't learn anything from Jerry Sloan. Either way he has the exact same skillset and style of play as he did when he first got here. He's just getting more minutes and given more of a chance. Plus he has a little more experience under his belt which helps a great deal.

Both Charlie and Bonner were and still are the exact same players as they were when they got here. Neither improved dramitcly. Sam never developed Charlie's defense and he still hasn't learned it since. No matter who the coach is Bonner is and always will be a role player.

As for Araujo...Yes he could simply be the scrub of all scrubs, but maybe if he came into the league under different coaching then he could of developed into something better?

The boat has probably passed on Kirt Thomas. It was apparent, at the time, that Phoenix dumped him because of salary. Now, Seattle needs him.

Now that Ruben Patterson is out of the league, Evans is the last player I'd like to see as a Raptor. Gadzuric is who I'd be interested in. He has definitely got a physical style and the athletic ability to live up to his contract. But he might be a bit too expensive for BC given the lack of offense.

He's more active than Rasho but I just looked at their rebounding stats and you're right, he's not much of an improvement.

Bo Outlaw played a bit with the Magic earlier this year (7 minutes to be exact).. and I had the pleasure of seeing a few of them.

I thought the guy was dead (not literally) and was really surprised to see he was still in the leaugue at the beginning of the year. He has only played around 1000 minutes the last 4 years combined.

Return to Toronto Raptors
