Which Big 3 West Team Will Decline First?

Dallas
Suns
Spurs

most people will pick the spurs, but i have a feeling they do something big this offseason to regroup...

Suns = nash 33
Spurs = Duncan 32
Mavs = Nowitzki (LOSER)

all 3 have no big future, only this year and next year.

well, ginobili is a key player for them and he is already 30, the spurs probably, bowen, finley and horry are very old also.

Spurs will just replace their aging talent with other old players seeking a ring.
When Finley/Bowen go guys like Michael Redd, Peja Stojakovic, Hedo Turkoglu, Shane Battier, and Morris Peterson will replace him. I'd actually put money on one of them ending up in SA once their contracts expire.
Career borderline all-stars will flock to San Antonio for as long as Tim Duncan is all-NBA material.

Spurs have some pretty talented guys waiting in euro leagues and D league waiting for their chance like Mahinmi and Splitter. To replace guys like Horry / Oberto etc. Parker is only 25. TD's play style will let him play for another 4-5 years easy.

Suns play their starters too much and will probably lose Nash alot earlier because of it. They have Stat and Barbosa though to build around.

Dallas should be ok for a while, or until Dirk loses it.

I dunno it's a tough question. I think it all comes down to which teams succumb to injuries first.

apparently some people in this thread aren't considering how good the Spurs management is..

probably Phoenix..this is the last year they have to win a championship IMO their management values $ more than winning, so who knows what they will do next..

The answer is the Suns.
Nash is getting old... when Nash slows down, their entire offensive system will essentially collapse.
Also, the Suns need to shed payroll. In 1 year its a good possibility that either Marion or Amare may be gone.
Plus their rotation is so tight that everybody gets a lot of burn.

The Spurs will be fine as long as Buford keeps switching out the surrounding pieces. They are the best management in the NBA, replacing Finley and Horry will be CHILD'S PLAY for the Spurs, not even the smallest obstacle. Hell they probably already have some golden nugget stashed away in the Euro leagues.
uncan is the sort of player who will go for a number of more years, Gino and Parker are fine too for a few more years. As long as they have Duncan/Gino/Parker/Popovich, the Spurs are all set.

I'll go with the Suns due to both Nash and Hill. Nash, while still being one of the best in the league at what he does, if not the best, is getting up there in age. Hill is up there as well, and he has a very well documented history of injury. Add in the fact that the Suns are not a very deep team and I think it's reasonable to think they'll be the 1st. That says nothing of what will happen if Marion decides to opt out.

The Mavs have the weakest overall roster, but I'd say the Suns. If Nash goes down, their entire team falls into pieces.

Kerr hasn't shown yet he can maintain a high-level team. He just sold draft picks rather than pick new young players, so I'm also not sure how dedicated ownership is to competing at a high-level.

Nash is getting older, and when he's gone the team will struggle mightily, despite some good youth.

I'll go with the Suns on this one too. Although if they'd hurry up and **** D'Antoni, we might prolong it. Steve Nash has made that man look like a good coach.

This is coming from a Suns fan, before all you Suns homer's pop a blood vessel.

Which ever team doesn't make the Western Conference finals between the Mavs or Suns will likely head in a different direction. Coaching changes, trades, etc.
