Do you guys think Lebron will reach his target to be the 1st billion dollar sportstar if he rely on his pay only even its the max ?

This is very true. I think it has been a factor that MLSE has had to overcome when bringing in players to Toronto.

I often wondered why a former player would post on RealGM but after putting on my marketing cap I realized it is a two way street that keeps on giving. You get free exposure which enhances your intrinsic value while RealGM benefits from your contributions.

Now I can take the knowledge I have picked up from this thread and share it with others and that way we can all be winners!

Excellent point. To put the shoe on the other foot, last Saturday the Leafs were out here to play the Sharks, and the FSN broadcast team devoted a significant amount of time to the excitement felt by those members of the Sharks who had family watching the game at home on HNIC. A lot of the SJ players viewed that game as a "big" game strictly because it was on CBC.

And, on a more selfish note, I'd love to see more Raps games on national TV down here. One game a year in HD just doesn't cut it. :)

We will get more attention from the US networks if Moon wins the dunk contest...

This does not translate into more air time by our US friends.

We will never get much air time from them. Even when VC was here, we were still relatively under the radar. Sure we had some, but not a lot. It was always VC dunks, etc getting us on the map.

But when VC when to NJ, he had lots of attention and stuff.

Quick question.
Who cares if we get American TV coverage?
If we go into the second to third round a couple years straight people will notice don't worry.
Holy.

It's funny that ESPN just interviewd Bosh on the Rome show, his video is making the rounds on all the sports shows.... but no one cares about Bosh because he a had a bad game against the Pistons?

Was there like double secret meeting that was called in the last two days on ESPN that your friend was a part of? jeez...

The key is winning. If we become an interesting team that wins a lot of games we will. And for those people who say not to care about what they think I think that Raptor fans have to be excited when ESPN shows one of our games because it shows we are climbing out of the hole. We also want to display our players and it's just a good thing to happen. That being said, I much rather us be a 50 win team and have no games on ESPN than be a 49 win team with every other game on ESPN. I'm dead serious. Wins>>>>>>>>>>>>ESPN. I still think it's cool to be on ESPN but winning is on a whole other level.
