Good point, I should've mentioned that his show is about to start. 12-3pm EST is when his show airs, when the actual interview with CP3 is I'm not sure, but I imagine he'd mention it.

2poor if you hear CP, please give a recap. The live streaming doesn't seem to want to work for me. The replay may work later though. I'll keep checking.

2poor, the replay of the interview is up now. I listened. Pretty nice interview. Rome/CP interviews are usually pretty good. Talked mainly about CP's game, Skip Prosser, playing for the ACC.

Paul Makes Leap to Extraordinary

With another game on the line, the ball found Chris Paul in an instant, as if it could be nowhere else.

On his previous flight with the ball in his hands, he had driven the Hornets to a three-second fast break, it finishing with a Rasual Butler slam to a three-point New Orleans lead. But in the final seconds, the Rockets were back in front, up by one after two Yao Ming free throws.

In a blur, Paul was past a David West screen, upon Yao Ming and lofting the game winner over Yao's reach.

It was spectacular, and at the same time, seemed ordinary, as if he could have done just that at any time, whenever needed.

That, it seemed - and has throughout the season - to be where he has taken his game, to that point where promise is replaced by accomplishment, undeniable ability by reliable productivity. This is the point where Paul has taken that most difficult and important step, from a coveted talent to the reason his team wins.

Paul's emergence gives Hornets star power they desperately need.

NEW ORLEANS -- A woman at the cash register of a sports-themed shop frowned and shook her head side-to-side when asked how a new batch of New Orleans Hornets hats were selling.

Then she pointed to a rack of Chris Paul jerseys with the No. 3 on the back.

"We are selling some of those," she said.

The Hornets might need a transcendent star -- like the Pittsburgh Penguins of the 1980s needed Mario Lemieux -- to make it in small-market New Orleans for longer than just a couple more years.

That could be Paul, the polite, engaging, baby-faced 6-foot point-guard whose torrid start to the season has begun to generate a buzz around the NBA.

His numbers arguably are better than any other point-guard in the league, and the upstart team he leads has kept pace with the giants of the Western Conference through nearly half of this season.
