Zach wants out

Post#1 » by breaker91 » Thu Jan 17, 2008 5:13 pm

Did anybody catch the sports on KGW last night? They reported that Zach Randolph recently begged Isiah to trade him and he did it in front of his entire team.

Zach had been through some pretty dysfunctional teams while in Portland, but how f**ked up must that situation be in NY for him to resort to pleading with Isiah and in front of his teammates no less.

Who probably wouldn't care if he was the focal point of their offense like he was in Portland.

That does speak pretty loudly, but the NY media is alittle bit bigger than here in Oregon. Guessing "Sarge" got some drama too.

Which is why he was offered for Vince Carter.

I wonder where we'd be if we didn't trade Zach. *goes into deep thought*

We'd have solved our low post banger need with 24ppg/10rpg. And after all, that's the only way a player ever contributes to the team, through those stats. [/sarcasm]

Zach is such a funny enigma. All the talent to be the low post banger the Blazers need, but without the team first mentality to make it work. It is ironic that the year after Zach leaves, the Blazers are one of the best in the league at shooting 3's.

I think Zach is a perfect example of needing to find the right talent with the right personality to make the right "team".

zbo wil never change, it's like he's a black hole and unless he's just a garbage man on offense, he just slows teams down

I feel a little sad about him doing that, but the utter hilarity of the situation totally makes up for it.

Yea - You cant really blame him. Hes a Knick,
who wouldnt want to be trade out of there??

However Zach needs to know in order to goto
a better team, teams are going to need to want
him & the only way a good team is going to want
him is if that team knows Zach will give it up and
play team ball. I am one who thinks Zach will do
that if on the right team, but him being on the
Knicks, I dont see him showing his willingness to
be a team player like that. That team is a lot of
one on one which doesnt breed team play.. .

I hope the Knicks get rid of Zeke & get back to
the winning ways because the NBA is better when
the Knicks are winning. Even tho the east media
are ignorant for the most part to west coast teams.

You scared me there for a minute Mojo, thought you were being serious and was about to cry. Thought dtrain had hacked your account and started posting stuff, I was beginning to get worried.

It's odd, but when I typed it, I sort of, you know, felt a presence like someone was watching me type and encouraging me to go on.

But then I types "[/sarcasm]" and it was gone.

OMG! It is not all so clear to me now, I always thought the d in d-train's name was for dewald, but it must be for Darth! Stupidest sounding Sith name I have ever heard, but he must be a super bad ass if he can even begin to be influencing a strong Jedi's mind like yours from across the universe. Be careful young Jedi, the dark side is more powerful then you could ever imagine.

I feel bad for Zach. He actually put in a lot of effort last year to lose weight and actually try on defense. Then he gets put on a team that is just horrific. But like everyone has said, if Zach was on the RIGHT team, he'd do well. I think he would be perfect in Detroit. Obviously they have the people who could at least talk some sense into him and keep him check. Also, they are great defensive team who could cover up his less than stellar D. But, that will never happen.

I know what you mean, but I don't feel bad for any millionaire, with very very few exceptions.

I haven't been able to sell many Kings fans on this, but I figure this would be good for them. Artest actually WANTS to play for the Knicks. If he's on the Kings, he takes minutes away from Salmons, who is turning out to be damn good. Z-Bo wants out of NY. Sac needs a post presence to free up shots for Kevin Martin and Fransisco Garcia. Brad Miller is far from a post presence. Anyway...Artest for Z-Bo! Gives the Knicks the only guy on the planet who wants to jump on a sunken (not sinking) ship, the Kings get a very solid post player and they get rid of a headcase who shoots shots he shouldnt be taking. Then all they gotta do is figure out what to do with Bibby.

we would be the Timberwolves

Telfair at point, an undersized 2 (McCants/Dixon), a SF that could be great (Gomes/Miles), 20/10 in the post (Jefferson/Zach) and a totally non-offensive center (Doleac/Pryz.....or Theo..hell, whoever isn't hurt!)

I guess not all of this happened because of the Zach trade but looking back...realizing where we are...kinda makes ya have a little man crush on Pritchard don't it.

hey.
Why is the NBA better when the Knicks are winning? I notice no difference.
The Knicks still think they're amazing, even when they're being whipped. And where will all the bad contracts go?

I really want this Kings trade to go through. the whole Reef v Zach battle will start again, especially between their agents!

I can't believe that Zach's agent didn't ask for a trade kicker. Something tells me he would have earned an extra ten million minumum over the course of this contract...
