People often compare D-wade to Kobe Bryant and Lebron James, Kobe and Lebron on the heat with that supporting cast would be a .700 basketball team no doubt.

Tim Duncan is a good player but not half as great as people here proclaim him to be, If KG had the supporting cast Duncan had all these years he would have won at least 6championships by now.

first of all, the Heat would obviously be better with a HEALTHY Wade..if Wade was healthy, the Heat wouldn't be better off with Kobe or Lebron, it wouldn't change anything..Wade has already proven to be a top 5 player when healthy, and he was probably the best player in the entire league in the year that Miami won the championship..what he did in the playoffs was unbelievable..he has done something Kobe has never done, and that is lead a team to a championship..that isn't a knock on Kobe, but a compliment to Wade..he has one of the best sets of intangibles/leadership in the NBA..

a lot of people don't realize Wade isn't even playing healthy right now..people laughed at Lebron's supporting cast..well look at Wade's..it's worse than Lebron's, and a lot worse than Kobe's right now..

Wade is a proven superstar in the NBA..he has led a team to a championship..he CARRIED them in the finals..not many players have overcame a 2-0 deficit to a favored team, and won 4 games in a row..of course it was a team effort, but his numbers and performance in that series were some of the best I've ever seen in my life..

second of all..people seem to think that the only accomplishment Duncan has over KG is championships..Duncan's INDIVIDUAL accomplishments are A LOT better than Garnett's..that's before you even consider the 4 championships, one of them which Duncan won single-handedly..of course I don't mean that literally, but I mean it in the most possible way anybody can mean that when they are analyzing a CHAMPIONSHIP team..Dream's 1st one is the only one that rivals..

so the Duncan's supporting cast argument is stupid when you look at the 2003 championship team..KG is great, but he wouldn't have won a title with the Spurs..simply because his style is completely different than Duncan's..he's a lot more of a jump shooter..

now KG has 2 superstars on his team..if he doesn't win a championship, is that argument even valid anymore? even if he does, it'll just be countered with, "his 2 stars were better" and "he played in the East"..

obviously KG is better though..he does nice dunks and he shoots jumpers from far away:D

Rajon Rondo. People are making way too big a deal of him on the Media. He isn't worth that kind of recognition.

wade had an amazing supporting cast the year he won. reffs, shaq, walker, and jwill all played solid ball that year, then fell off a cliff somehow. add in posey, haslem, and kapono and that's a solid team. wade still has haslem and shaq and still can't win. kobe with odom and smush at least made the playoffs.

pathetic.

tim duncan is overrated on realgm because everyone thinks he's galaxies better than KG, kobe, lebron. he has a great supporting cast that people fail to acknowledge. he relies on them so much that if they even have one bad game (namely tony parker) the spurs don't win. KG is just as good as tim duncan imo. kobe/bynum and kg/pierce/allen all have proved that they play at the spurs' level this season. kobe/shaq clearly demonstrated that duncan/ginobili/parker was not enough. we started two 35+ year olds and still beat them.

first and foremost Tim Duncan is the model of success, and a high class character. that is a dream player. overrated? insanity. 4 titles means your the freaking man.

Bynum is a baller. plain and simple. "but he never gets double teamed." um, he gets double teamed every time he gets the ball in the post. practically. your not watching him play obviously.

Roy is a baller. plain and simple. western conference and without their number 1 pick, Greg Oden. He is NOT AN MVP CANDIDATE BY ANY MEANS. but he is good.

overrated? Richard Jefferson.

Still think Bynum is overrated? While I hesitate to think anyone is worth a 10-point differential, the way this team's looked the past few games, it seems like he's worth 20.

It's amazing how bad this team's looking without Bynum. The last time a big had this much impact on this Lakers team was Shaq. However, that team had a much weaker supporting cast, supposedly anyway. Could it be that this team is equally as weak, just that Bynum has been hiding their weaknesses all along?

Well when the next best Centers are Chris Mihm and Kwame Brown, theres bound to be a noticeable drop off in intensity.

LOL @ pathetic..

I love how so many Kobe fans hate Wade because he did something Kobe couldn't, and that's win a finals MVP with Shaq on the team..Wade had a good supporting cast, but he CLEARLY carried the team in the finals..he had one of the greatest finals performances of all-time..didn't he average over 35+ for the whole series? and also led his team to 4 games in a row..ridiculous..

I don't want to attack the poster, but are some people REALLY this stupid?..

first of all, nobody has EVER said Tim Duncan is galaxies better than KG, Kobe or Lebron..Tim Duncan has had a solid argument as to being better than Kobe and Lebron last year..KG hasn't even been in the playoffs for the last few years, so I don't even see how he had an argument until this year..nobody is going to say Duncan has been better than either of those 3 guys this year..

has he had a better career than all 3? definitely..none of them even have an argument over him..

second of all, the Spurs THIS year? the Spurs are struggling by their standards, just like they did last year..obviously the regular season means nothing to them..

third of all, every superstar needs teammates to win..Duncan has actually been one of the few that has won without another all-star on his team..so he's already proven he doesn't even NEED another all-star on his team..

by saying Duncan relies on Parker and Ginobili to win in the regular season is clearly stupid, because you're talking about Duncan strictly in the regular season..Duncan is a different player in the playoffs, he COMPLETELY elevates his game..he probably takes the least shot attempts out of any superstar in the NBA that isn't a PG..even with that being said, Jordan had Pippen..Magic had Worthy and Kareem..Shaq had Kobe..

small sample size..but here are Tony Parker's numbers without Duncan this year..

FG: 38%(-11%) -1.3 FTA 4 APG(-2.2) 3.75 TOPG(1 more TOPG) 12.5 PPG(-7.5)

and Duncan without Parker for 3 games..including 1 game where he only played 20 minutes since it was his 1st game back from injury..

FG: 53%(+2) 12 RPG(+1.2) 2 TO(-0.3) 20 PPG(+1.2)

fourth of all, your last comment is 100% stupidity..you're comparing SHAQ AND KOBE to Duncan and 2 players that weren't even near all-star caliber players at that point..the fact that Duncan actually beat the Lakers with an average supporting cast in 2003 shows how good he is..I'm sure you remember that series..Kobe was literally crying on the bench because his team was eliminated..

Duncan has won with an average supporting cast for a championship team, so your point is completely lost here..Ginobili and Parker have developed, partly due to Duncan, so he deserves to have great teammates by his side, after he's already proven he can win without them..

Those two are still better than anything Shaq had. Also, while I don't believe there's such a thing as making your teammates better, looking at the way Fish and Walton are playing, I may have to rethink that a bit. It appears that Bynum was making Fish look like he actually improved.

Parker and Ginobili? uhhh did you forget a guy named Kobe, who has been arguably the best player in the NBA the last few years? and was top 5 when he was with Shaq?..

oh ya, I forgot you are the huge Bynum homer..you ignore Kobe..

Bynum still overrated? We can't score or defend without Bynum.

I named Bynum, but I should have elaborated..I don't think his game is overrated..I think he's more OVERHYPED..because he's already being compared to proven players and all-time greats, when he's only been good for a small stretch..even though he looked really good during that time..

overhyped might be a better word for Bynum..

It's really amazing how bad we're looking without him. I thought for sure our "deep bench" was going to step up. Seems to me Bynum was just masking them.

With Bynum, I feel like the game is over at the half. Now, nothing is guaranteed, not even against the worse teams in the league. He's having MVP-type impact.

Here's another coach that thinks Roy belongs in the MVP talk.

Maybe they all know something some of you don't
