Move over Mchale... Kerr to steal your thunder!
In watching the Suns this season, it is too easy to be greatly disappointed in the chemistry exhibited and the way the game is approached.
On one end, Phx has helped fuel the Trailblazers with multiple draft picks, moved one of their few legit big men, caused for their hustle player to play with less motivation (Marion), and has added one significant talent, whom is made out of glass.
Kerr needs to go before the franchise completely falls apart.

Kerr has only been GM for a short time. Their blunders (trading pick which becomes Deng) are neither the cause of Kerr nor Colangelo.

They also gave us a league leading 3pt shooter in James Jones.

Kerr hasnt really made any moves on his own prerogative, so you cant blame him. All the money saving moves he was forced into.
And its to the point where if he makes a move, it has to be a big move. Because outside of the starting 5 and Barbosa, no one has value. But why would you trade the starting 5 when you are .5 games out of 1st?

If he can be a GM, then I damn well know I can be a GM.

I think the phrase, "Pull a McHale" needs to be a standard reference to any GM trading a star player back to the team he played for in exchange for scrubs.
This has to catch on.
Al Jefferson,(20/12) 2 1st rd draft picks(including our own) and expirings count as "scrubs" WOW. What a great basketball mind.

Diaw needed to be moved (at his cost) as well as Banks (if he's not being used).
Terrible
He didn't sign Banks or Diaw IIRC, so while Diaw is costing more, it's not really his fault. Nobody will trade expirings for Diaw, or a more valuable player, so what do you suggest? The same goes for Banks.
Between their starting 5 and Barbosa, they're spending about $53.6million. Assuming that those are all necessary pieces that leaves them something like $12-13million (if they want to stay under the cap) for 2-3 more solid bench guys (which would cost at the very least $11mil), and then they have to go over the luxury tax to fill out their roster. The big pieces that get in the way of that are Diaw and Banks like you mentioned. But those are D'Antoni's mistakes--not Kerr's. If they had been able to move Diaw for expirings last year (or maybe just hadn't re-signed him), they would have been able probably to hold on to Kurt. Then they would have Thomas and Skinner bringing solid enough D off the bench, and would have just needed probably a solid SG/SF off the bench. This also could have happened if their owner wasn't cheap as hell. But again, that is, in now way Kerr's fault.
As it is, Kerr turned James Jones and Kurt Thomas into Grant Hill and Brian Skinner for what was, in total a lot of saved money. He has frankly done a pretty good job given the circumstances. It's just a shame because when you're in a situation like Phoenix, your owner should be willing to spend as much as needed to win a championship.

How are any of those guys scrubs for Minnesota with their games, roles, contracts and still being in the league? As well as getting draft pick(s).
In comparision to KG? Well, I guess so, but Al Jefferson isn't.

I think that was also ownership related becuase of KG's contract situation. Also D'Antoni was not favoring of it from what he said about the trade rumors in the summer.

But also the other factor was Kurt effecting the Suns offense where D'Antoni didn't quite like it. Skinner's cheaper and more mobile, athletic than Kurt, not nearly as good a jumpshooter, though.
