Jamario Moon's going to hurt someone.

Post#1 » by peteyjones13 » Fri Jan 18, 2008 7:57 am

I love Jamario, but often, when he goes for blocks, often if he's chasing someone or is behind someone, he just swipes at the ball with a full swing. That has proven to be effective in blocking a lot of shots, but when I see him do that, I think it's just a matter of time where he wrecklessly swipes, misses the ball, and accidentally hits someone in the face, potentially hurting someone. Playing pickup ball, I wouldn't want someone swiping like that. What do you guys think?

i've noticed that but i'd be much more worried about his free swinging legs.

he's going to knock a tooth out one day.

I'm more worried hes going to hurt himself. He jumps very high on dunk and rebound attempts and the guy is so light that im scared one of these days, hes going to get bumped and land very badly.

Look how vicously he landed on his tailbone after this bump.

lol who cares if he hurts someone. as long as it's not intentional it's fine. Bruce Bowen didn't stop sticking his feet under people and Al Horford's team benefit tomorrow because TJ's not playing.

Allright, but it's not acceptable. The amount of ankles that Bruce Bowen has sprained because he sticks his feet out, and ppl land on his ankle coming down after their shot is disgusting. He deserves to get punched in the face and knocked out. Wreckless actions committed over and over by individuals that will most likely hurt someone at some point should not be accepted.

Yeah I'm more worried about when TJ comes back and him smacking TJ in the head again in practice. But as for him smacking someone in a game, I have no problem with that.

Oh yeah i'm right worried about him hurting someone. Are you sh*** me. Only a wuss would comment on that. I love the cross swipes there like his trademark. So you must love how soft the raptors are and how they don't lay the lumber on anybody (especially on the rebounding side) In fear that they might hurt someone. What a stupid question. The raptors need some toughness and we all know it.

Take someones head off jamario for f sakes!!!!!

Yeah, let's get one the few guys on the team trying to play aggressive defense to tone it down...

He should because it'll actually help him become a better defender...I love his aggressiveness and effort, but he needs to stop biting on the most minuscule of fakes.

He can keep it up when rebounding, though. (Even if it results in stealing rebounds from your teammates - they should have to want it just as much as he does).

He hasn't shown any signs of being a reckless player with his "dangerous" swipes at the ball :P He knows what he's doing.

EDIT: I've probably jinxed it now

Yes, Jamario is definitely going to hurt someone. Next time, he should just step back, leave a lane wide open and let the opposing player stroll right in for the easy dunk/layup/finish. No need for physical contact in basketball, wouldn't want to foul the guy.

He has yet to hurt anyone, and I think he picks his places to try and block very well, so I really don't see him smacking someone in the face. It's possible, but I think Jamario's smart enough to avoid injuring someone.

It would be funny if he went for a block from behind, whiffed at the ball, and instead slapped D-Mart's head. Just imagining the sound it would make amuses me.
