Potentialy stat wise in two years.
*Roy - 21.2ppg 4.9rpg 5.8apg
*LMA - 18.6ppg 8.1rpg 1.0bpg
*Oden - 13.1ppg 10.5rpg 2.1bpg

Oden is a toss up, I mean he could become
way better then my guess, or he could be
worse. Its a guess, since he hasnt played
any real NBA games. I cant wait to see tho!!

LMA is a toss up aswell, so far he hasnt gotten
much better then the start of the season, but
he hasnt gotten any worse.. .Lots of time for
him still to improve & even if he doesnt improve
much he still will be a really good starting PF.. .

Roy will prob get a little better stat wise then he
is now, but a lot better in controling games and
thats pretty scary since hes pretty good at that
already. I think it all depends on his mentality.. .
If he wants he could be a true superstar type
player with all big stats to go along with it, but I
dont think he will do that because its just not him.

Anyway you look at it, theyre all young with lots
of time to get better & it will be fun to watch that!!

I think with Roy, he's going to be a better player than his stats
for he's a leader on the team on and off the court.

I think the jury is out of LA for he has the talent but not the
overall desire to be the best player. Assuming Oden will be
ready to play next season, he's got to rebound better and be
able to play off of Oden much like Tim Duncan did with David
Robinson.

If Oden is ready, he's going to change the way the team plays
for he will be a threat to score on the blocks. Franchise
centers don't grow on trees and I can't wait until November
2008.

I'll break each of the three down:

Roy: He's going to be the emotional leader (and already is) and I see him continuing this role even when Oden comes back. He's the perfect player to have on a team-oriented squad and with Oden coming into the picture, Roy's team-first attitude will be even more important. I'm assuming his assist numbers will go up a bit next season but his scoring may stay about even or maybe even go down because he'll have to get Oden involved in the offense.

LA: Aldridge is inconsistent and needs to work on his rebounding but I see that coming next season with Oden allowing him to have more open shots and with another offseason of development. He'll be the outside shooting bigman while Oden will be the inside scorer. On defense, LA-Oden will prevent most easy layups and force teams into shooting jump shots. The blazers will win a lot of games with their post defense next season.

Oden: The blazers have been spectacular this year but definitely could use a player like Oden in the lineup. Oden's rebounding is much needed and his defense will make opponents scurry away in fear. On offense, the Blazers really need a post scorer and Oden fits the bill in every way. While it's been effective having a jump shooting team lately, it'll definitely be better to have a more consistent threat in the post and the ability to beat opponents from the inside-out. Oden will be the franchise player eventually and while Roy will lead the team, I think Oden will be the top player.

Roy - Clyde Drexler? Athletic, crafty, smart, got the moves.

Aldridge - Ceiling I'd hope to be is a Duncan/Garnett. Probably more a 'Sheed with no 3(yet). More jumpshot oriented Jermaine O'Neal I could see too.

Oden - I'm not going to jinx anything, but definately will be a top 3 post defender. His offensive game is probably 15-20 points max, but hey, we don't really need that(Roy). Ben Wallace type defensive instincts, with more.

how can you say LMA dont have the desire to be the best player? he stays up to 2 hours after most games shooting and trying to make himself better if thats not desire i dont know what is. he stayed after the xmas day game shooting instead of going home he has the desire

I can't believe you guys on Oden's estimates. With his size and strength, he should be good for at least 10ppg before a single play is run with him. At OSU and in the preseason, he showed a pretty good array of offensive skills--hooks, scoops, finger rolls, and face up bank shots. This, by itself, is a collection of five moves that Dwight Howard doesn't have, all in a bigger, stronger package.

20ppg isn't his max. That should be the minimum we accept from him to not label him a bust two seasons from now.

i am praying that aldridge will turn out to be a kevin garnett or tim duncan but i think he has alot better shot at becoming a chris bosh or jermaine oneal type player

I agree. If his health cooperates, Oden should be dominant. Why temper our enthusiasm for the most gifted big man in a generation?

Yeah, I think mojo is along more of the right track here, I think everyone is just seeing Oden as a defensive presence with a limited offensive game. He may not be the most refined Offensive player in the league but look at the man. It would be a sin for him to not dominate on both ends of the court with the body he has.

Personally I see Oden putting up around 18 ppg by his second season, and averaging around 20 ppg for his career. He should also grab around 9 or 10 boards per game in his rookie year and around 12 after that i think, while swatting around 2.5 to 3 shots per game.

Roy is a star already, I can see him putting up numbers like he is now for his career as Oden will take some more shots inside. I would expect Roy's assist numbers to increase a little but and his scoring will be around 20 ppg.

Aldridge hopefully will grab a few more rebounds, and his low post game will compliment Oden in the middle as he can knock down mid range jumpers to open up the middle for Oden. He will probably average around 18 ppg I think on a consistent basis.

Oden does have a better offensive game then Dwight Howard, especially when Dwight was a rookie. Hes just as big and will probably be just as strong now as well.

I dont see why we should expect any less from Oden then Dwight was able to do in Orlando...

I think you're underestimating Dwight a little bit here; his hook shots and banks off the glass from near the basket are starting to become more regular lately, I think he's picking it up.

I agree though, Oden has shown he's much further along than Dwight offensively, if anything at least as a rookie.

if they meet the expectations there's no way the blazers won't dominate the league as long as they play together.

the most mature is roy, he has more experience than aldridge and he has been showing it. also, his way of playing the game deffinitelly helps his team. he's either comforable with being the 1st option as well as being the 2nd or 3rd option.

about aldridge, he could be the one with the most potential and skills. a lot of offensive moves/weapons and a very strong defensive preasence. but he's still learning, but i think he has the attitude and the will to get better. i think he still has to show us a lot more.

and oden. well, he hasn't played a single nba minute, so it's tough to say what he can do. on paper he's a monster on defense and on rebounding. with his size and the skills he's supposed to have, he's also a powerful offensive threat. he's the type of player that maybe won't dominate the game, but will have 2-3 key plays that will determine the outcome for his team.

the best thing of all this is the age of this guys, the talent and potential and that there is waaaaaaaay too much to learn and keep growing and get better.

i think that in a couple of years, the 3 of them will be very tight on the court and will compliment each other perfectly, all the defensive and offensive holes will be filled.
