OT: Found this on the Bucks board.
I didnt hear anything on this. This is a quote from a guy on their board.
Our local radio Bucks insider guy is saying the Redd/CV for TMac/Wells deal is still alive and they're talking still

Damn thats crazy I never heard about this rumor...I guess the rockets are fed up with all of tmacs injuries? Isnt redd also pretty injury prone?
I dont get why the bucks would do this deal. CV is a PF with great size and length and and Redd is a very good shooter.
I really like the bucks team they have great depth at the PF/C position ...
Bogut
Yi
Gadzuric
Voskuhl
Charlie V.
Not too shabby...regardless you never trade bigs for smalls...

1st, this thread should be labeled OT.
2nd, I do that trade in two seconds if I'm the Bucks. Redd is real good and all, but he doesn't have the all around game that T-Mac has. Charlie V is soft and overrated - plus the Rockets already have offense in their front court and outside shooting elsewhere.

1st, Rockets don't have outside shooting anywhere. That's their biggest problem. No one to stretch the D or keep the D from sagging down on Yao.
2nd, T-Mac kills that offense by forcing everyone to stand around and watch him take shot after shot. Yes, he's an excellent player, but not on that team.

With Bogut and YI CV is useless.
Redd is perhaps the worst defender at either wing position in the league, Wally may have a step on this guy.
Offensively I think it is great for Houston, perhaps fatal defensively.
It could work for MIL, T-Mac when healthy is a much more dynamic player than Redd but I just don't know that he will ever really be that guy again.

Battier, T-Mac, Alston, with Head/James/Novak and others off the bench. Luis Scola has a jump shot too. Aaron Brooks too. Some have been cold some aren't lights out by any means but they have more than enough jump shooting. They just haven't adjusted to Rick Adelman yet.

I've heard Bucks fans complain about Redd too....again the whole team hasn't adjusted to Rick Adelman yet IMO. If I'm the Rockets I'm not giving up on T-Mac because I need him if I want to do anything real big.

Thats the rule amongst GM's. That was actually the only trade that I thought of before posting that work out decent until TJ got hurt. Look at all the teams trying to get Garnett, mchale was only going to trade if he got a big back. Bynum, Stadamire, Big Al...etc.

I know the rule. I just thought I'd throw that out there.

Redd is an Iron Man compared to TMac.

if TMAC is smart, he OK's this deal. Bogut/Yi is a promising frontcourt, and Mo is a good point gaurd (something he doesnt have in Houston). Most importantly, a lineup of...
Bogut
Yi
Tmac
Wells
Mo
... would make the playoffs easily if they played defense in the east. with a coupe emerging teams, the rockets are going to havea hard time making the playoffs.

I like that trade. Wells is definitely underutilized in Houston. As we saw in the last matchup with Houston, he's a very explosive scorer, excellent rebounder for his size, and a good to great defender. Tmac's health would be the only concern for me if I was Milwaukee in not pushing the deal through.
What if they also added in Yi for Scola? I think a Yi and Yao pairing would be pretty cool.

Yi >>>>>> Coca Scola.
But is would be cool if he and Yao were on the same team. Then they need to trade with LA to get Sun.
For what it's worth s1ickd I'm not sure Mo Williams is any better than Rafer Alston. He maybe a better scorer but is not a better distributer.

This is why I don't think the deal will go down from our end. Our franchise can't afford to deal with TMac missing 20 games a year.
We've heard from one of our insiders on our board that the Rockets were never truly serious about moving TMac, but they were floating his name out there to see what kind of value he carries around the league.
Our owner Kohl, was burned by the Ray Allen deadline trade a few years back and most likely never will allow Redd to be traded at the deadlilne. If anything a trade might go down in the offseason. Our GM is a lame duck who approved the trade to acquire Zach Randolph for CV/Simmons/Gadzuric only to have it overturned by the owner, Kohl.
Recently our offensive philosophy has taken a significant shift from Redd throwing up jumpers and running isos all game to actually running the offense thru Bogut. We haven't been winning, but we've been playing much better, smarter basketball that will work out in the long run.
I am a Bucks fan first and foremost, but the Celtics have always been my second team since they got Paul Pierce. Always loved the guy and good to see you guys doing well with two of my other favorite players in the league, Ray and KG.
