His FG% is also pretty low because he tends to shoot a lot of 3s. His eFG% bears this out.

And his FG numbers look pretty weak, but it was really just one stretch of really bad shooting.

Right, but what we don't know is whether or not those stretches of bad shooting are the norm for Delfino...I'd assume they are considering a high % of this shots are threes.

Regardless, I like Delfino's game now plus I think he can get better. If things go as planned, paying him full MLE won't be a problem.

Delfino tends to take these somewhat contested long 3 pointers from the wing that don't seem to be going in, but they do.

The guy has been playing well enough to get big minutes. I have no idea where someone would get the idea that this player is on his way out based on that. He is not going to ask for or get the sort of money that Jose might and considering some contracts coming off and BC's familiarity with the league and penchant for making deal, I doubt he is walking away for nothing. I will bet that failing very good external offers, Jose and Carlos will be here and be important cogs in the machine for a while.

You are all going to flame me, but I would rather see Delfino stay with the team than Calderone. Not that I don't like Caldy, but I think Carlos will be great as a starting SG for us in the years to come.

Edit: For the record, I don't think BC will let either of them walk.

I remember an interview than a journalist did with Delfino and he said than he want to stay in a team for long time.. I thinks he is very confortable here with his minutes and his partners.. So I don't think tahn he wants to leave Toronto

If the only way for keep Jose and Carlos is trade somewhere Joey and Rasho for nothing and we get trash but cap space.. JUST DO IT BC

Return to Toronto Raptors
