I think the blame goes to the coach and the point guards. Whose responsibility is it to distribute? The PG. Who should chew him out if he doesn't get it to his hottest player? The coach.

Exactly.

Guys Smoove doesn't have the offensive game to get a lot of points when he's getting doubled.

JJ didn't have to deal with a double team like he "always does" and didn't do anything until the 4th qtr.

Josh Smith never tried to go low. He only took 1 or 2 shots in the 3rd quarter and then forced a couple more late. Smith was "owning" Bosh in the first half too.

Bosh was "owning" Smith all game on the block.

But anyways, that was an exciting game and I was impressed how you guys stuck it out and hanged in there for most of the game. Bosh was just too much.

We tried to go to Horford down low..Bosh and Moon kept blocking his shot. We need a GOOD veteran point guard. Calderon in the 2nd half outproduced all 3 of our point guards put together. Lue and AJ are vets but they make as many dumb mistakes as our young players do with the game on the line. This team needs Andre Miller in the worst way.

It doesn't matter, you still have to try. The Hawks have other post players as well. You cannot shoot jump shots all game long and expect to have any type of consistency in this league.

Smoove played great defense on Bosh. CB4 just showed why he was a superstar and hit some tough shots.

Bosh couldn't stop Josh and Josh couldn't stop Bosh. The difference was Bosh kept taking shots through all 4 quarters. That's the difference between Calderon and Lue/Law.

I am curious to see what the score was when Lue came in during the second half.

If I had said that on another board then I would have a got a warning. Book it. I like how HMFFL mods but sometimes we are too soft on trools.

Good game, and good luck over the next month. Your upcoming schedule looks brutal, but the beauty of a young team is that they often don't know that there are games which they shouldn't win. I really like your collection of young talent (especially Horford, whose touches should be increased, IMO...he's a monster), and I'd love to see them make the playoffs this year.

No surprise here. The Raps own the Hawks. Looking at our schedule. Hawks are in for quite a losing streak unless they can catch some of these teams on off night.

The difference was Bosh got in position every time down the floor to receive the ball. Josh Smith's disappearing act was no doubt in part by his teammates but also in part by him shying away from the ball on his own. Really, Josh only had 1 good quarter, 16 points in the 1st and I'm not sure, but a lot of those buckets came on Bargnani.

Well Smoove can't take over a game yet for four quarters. He isn't good enough offensively to do it when the double comes. However, he did dominate on the boards and passing the ball in the scond half. So I wouldn't call it a dissapearing act.

I'm not saying Josh didn't have anything to do with it, but Josh also has different responsibilites on offense. He doesn't have the luxury of just sitting under the hoop and getting the ball when he needs it. If you notice he also had 7 assists. More than all 3 of our PGs combined.

This season is slowly starting to slip away.

It started with the Milwaukee game the other night, and now tonight.

If they aren't careful, this can get real ugly really fast.

BK HAS to make a move at the trade deadline Feb. 21st. We need a PG!

I am starting to have doubts about Acie's ability to play the point right now. He is struggling to carve his niche at this point IMO.

BK CAN NOT sit on his ass and not make any moves this trade deadline. Because this team, as currently constructed, WILL NOT make the playoffs.

Yeah, but how many of those assists were negated by bonehead turnovers? Josh Smith is careless with the ball and you might call him a playmaker, but he doesn't have good handles and averages more turnovers than assists. He has good vision, but until he learns how to take care of the ball and make better decisions, he'll be a liability with that part of his game.

Bosh constantly has to pass out of doubles and has to find the open guys in the right spots, the assists might not show up on the stat sheet, but he's racking the up the hockey dimes, he's making the pass that leads to the ball movement that creates the open shot.
