LA Trades: Kwame Brown
LA Receives: Drew Gooden, Ira Newble
Cleveland trades: Drew Gooden, Ira Newble, 1st rounder in 08
Cleveland receives: Andre Miller
Philadelphia Trades: Andre Miller
Philadelphia receives: Kwame Brown, 1st round pick
Lets review, Cleveland desperately desires a PG. They probably are right in thinking that makes them a top Eastern conference team. The Sixers will trade Miller for a 1st-expiring. The Cavs don't have expiring contracts, but they do have a close to expiring deal in Gooden. All the Cavs need to do is find a team that needs a big and will trade an expiring contact. The Lakers, they need Gooden and gladly trade Brown to get Gooden, even getting Newble in the deal to make it work.
So lets review, Philly gets the expiring deal and pick they want, Cleveland gets the PG they want in Miller and the Lakers get a big who can play the four and moves Odom to the three (something LA wants to do) once Bynum comes back.

I like Dre and think he can help a number of teams, but his lack of an outside shot make him not the most ideal fit in Cleveland. Clearly an upgrade over what they have, don't get me wrong...but if Cleveland is going to give up Gooden & a 1st I'd think they'd look for somebody who will better compliment the guys they already have.
