Horrible game, nobody deserves a hammer for this slop. Although, I must say New Orleans is VERY impressive and I actually think they could give the Spurs a tough matchup in the playoffs. Very similar teams.
Not sure if NO is that good, or we were just that bad. Probably somewhere in between. But damn, when that team is firing on all cylinders like tonight, I can't see how anyone can stop them, especially if David West plays like he did tonight.
It's games like these where we really needed a dominant quick defensive power forward and guards that can get up in the face of the Hornets guards.
Whats so impressive about the Hornets is the way they control the pace of the game. Sometimes they bring it up quick where CP will pass it off and then they run that devastating pick and roll or alley oop. Or Paul walks it up slow and sets up the offense with everyone setting screens and freeing up it seems like their entire team for open shots. Also I love how they set screens on our guards and easily get into the lane. Wow, so impressive is their execution.
And on defense when they want to, Paul was hounding Felton and their big men are active in the paint and prevent you from getting easy layup. We missed so many easy baskets around the hoop. Then they seal everything up inside as the game goes and dare you to beat them from the outside which of course we were shooting bricks all night. You know this team is tough on D when Crash never had an easy path to the hoop. Simply amazing.

**** we're not the hornets anymore!
Good point with Peja as HM.
N.O. is good if they stay healthy. They got a great starting 5 with alot of balance. Plus BJack off the bench. But that is it. 1 or 2 injuries and they got problems. Curious to see if they make any moves

NO as they are currently constituted scare me. More than any team we have played so far.
I've been more impressed with them than, say, the Celtics.
I can see how we might beat the Celtics in a 7 game series, if we play great.
I just don't see how we would win a 7 game series vs. NO. The matchups inside are wretched.

You are welcome to your opinion and I respect the Cats, but I'm pretty sure the C's would win in a 7 game series. Judging from our past games it would be a good series though.

I think we lose a 7 game series vs. NO 99 times out of 100.
I agree with that. You guys would definitely get a win or two in a 7 game series against the C's. But I think you could do the same against the Hornets. There's not many teams that can sweep the Cats.
