I watched that game... he threw up 3 bad shots in garbage time when he knew it didn't matter (hoping to get a triple double), including 2 3-pointers. So I can't say that he had a bad shooting night.

When the game mattered at all, he shot 4-8. He certainly wouldn't have been chucking 3s if it was a close game!

This is coming from a non-Nuggets fan, if it makes any difference.

I know Camby's generally efficient; it's because aside from his crummy J, he really doesn't go outside of the scope of his offense, which is smart. I was merely responding to the notion that he should get MVP consideration.

I still can't believe Layden traded him. Definitely my fave Knick ever (starting watching ball around 98). I was definitely upset that whole month because I knew defensive centers like him were hard to come by. I mean look what we have now.

he's now averaging 4 blocks a game. sick. more than the kings, spurs & knicks entire teams.

i don't think he deserved the dpoy award last year....but i'd be onboard this year because he's been dominant, for the most part, defensively this season.

I just caught this blurb in the Sporting News:

Sporting News wrote:Entering the week, Marcus Camby had 49 more blocks than the entire Knicks team.

:o

That wouldn't account for the 11 block game he had the other day against Utah either.

Camby himself averages more bpg than about 3 or 4 entire teams in this league....with the Knicks being one of them.

I wouldn't say MVP but the guy is truly a dominant force defensively. Best shot-blocker in the league, and a Top 3 rebounder.
