Wright is a bust, why would you want Wright? He's worse than Bogans, and isn't improving.

misterglover, you should be banned for using ESPN's Trade Machine when you can use the original trade machine, a.k.a. RealGM's Trade Checker.

In regards to a trade, would Bobcat fans be upset with a trade like:

Wallace, Okafor and Hollins for Stoudemire, Banks, Strawberry and a future pick?

I for one wouldn't do it, but I guess it's one way to land a scoring big like Amare.

That trade is HORRIBLE. Apparently you are not familiar with the greatness of Gerald Wallace. I love Amare, but not enough to take a chance on his gimpy knees and long contract for Wallace AND Okafor??? Then you want us to throw in Hollins? No way. And Amare wouldn't be nearly as good here as he is in Phoenix.

Nobody cares about Wright. He's just a throw in, but he's showed some flashes of being really good. And he's a youngin with potential. But who cares, this deal is about getting Sean Williams, a #1 pick along with cap flexibility.

It's just that the #1 pick is probably a role player or a bust, and Sean Williams is... I mean, probably a role player or bust. I guess we'll see, he has potential at least, but what's his maximum... Emeka last year?

Also, Magee's Amare deal is clearly crazy, though I think Amare would probably be just as good here as in Phoenix, since he plays just as well without Nash as with him.

We don't have the ability to get Amare.

Okafor and a R1 pick won't get it done.

Okafor and one of the starting wings and a R1 pick, probably wouldn't, either.

Doubtful Amare's traded, too. I'd say he would not be.

Paydro how do you know the 1st round pick will be a bust? Kevin Love, Ty Lawson, etc will be great pros.

You guys are crazy if you wouldn't do Sean Williams, Wright, 1st pick, AND Jamison.........the key is the cap flexibility.

Also...I bet Sean Williams will be better than Okafor in 2 years.

Well, the Nets will make the playoffs with Emeka Okafor, so we're probably looking at like the 16th pick.

In 2003, maybe you get David West (18). Or maybe you get Reece Gaines, Troy Bell, or

So whats wrong with a role player? You need great role players in order to help you win a championship. If the pick is a bust, so what, it's not like the pick is draining the salary cap. Jeez. And we do have our own lottery pick too, plus cap space if we don't sign Emeka.

Sean Williams? A bust? Have you seen him play more than one time? Apparently not. I don't even think the Nets do Sean Williams straight up for Okafor! Sean Williams is a much better value at 1.5 million or whatever low figure he's making over the next 3-4 seasons, compared to Emeka, who will sign some bloated long term deal with a team that is going to regret they did, like the Bulls with Ben Wallace.

Role players are cool and stuff, but you can get those in free agency even if you're over the cap. Stocking up mid-late firsts doesn't appeal to me.

I didn't say Williams is a bust. I said he's probably not better than a role player. He's 6'10", 235 pounds, and has no offensive game. Why would I want that over Emeka, who is just a better version of Williams. Only for salary reasons, but that assumes Williams even gets to Emeka's level. Maybe he's just Theo Ratliff. All the videos show are alley-oops and shot blocks... no kidding he can jump, I'd like to know he at least has a hook shot, can hold his own on the block, and can avoid getting suspended by the league.

I have nothing against Williams, but I don't see the appeal of taking a guy that we've dismissed as worthless, a 1/8 shot at a player of Emeka's caliber, and a young, worse version of Emeka, for him.

From my count, there's been nine different players that have finished the season ahead of Okafor in rebounds/game since Okafor came into the league...

...and I think it's perfectly reasonable to think that S.Williams will be the 10th!

Duncan, Marion, B.Wallace, Garnett, Yao, Camby, D.Howard, Boozer, Chandler.....S.Williams! See, he fits right in!

Ahhh of course you only see alley-oops and shot blocks, I see a young player with tremendous upside along with some amazing body control and something you cannot teach, which is the incredible drive to stop your opponent from scoring. Very few players have this ability.

Show me when Emeka has been beaten by the opposing team then races down court full speed, comes flying out of mid air to block an opponents shot that he had no business even being in position to do so. Show me!

And this is more about building an all around great TEAM, not about blowing out your cap on Okafor, who is a nice player, but someone whose already pretty much hit his ceiling. Okafor's value next season is not going to equal the contract.

I'd MUCH rather have Sean Williams and that aggressive play at his low salary, because then we can go ABOVE the MLE to sign an additional player. Then you add in our lottery pick and we are suddenly adding 3 valuable pieces to our team. And that is not including anything else we might get in an Okafor trade.

If we pay Jokafor, then thats it, we lose all of our cap flexibility. And if he gets hurt or continues his unaggressive inconsistent play next season, we're not getting anything of great value for him. We're stuck paying a guy for the next 5 seasons who has to play 30 plus minutes a night because we gave him all this money.

Okay, so he has body control and speed. He's Stromile Swift, in other words. Maybe he'll learn to play offense, but athletic gifts don't impress me in and of themselves.

Sure, if we're assuming that we vastly overpay Emeka, that would be bad. If Emeka really is as bad as he's playing right now, and last season was a total fluke, great, we shouldn't keep him around. But we'll have another year to see if that's the case, and giving up on him for a couple of projects doesn't appeal to me.

Yeah I know you just saw that Sean Williams block on Tim Thomas to send the game into overtime! Wow! 6th block of the game.

Stromile Swift? Gimme a break. Sean Williams is light years better than that moron already.

You need to watch some Nets games and bone up on your knowledge.

And please don't overrate Emeka's last season. There were MANY games where he simply did not show up.

Did you see the 6 or 7 times that Amare dunked on Willimas last night like he did not exist?

It was pretty funny.

Um no, I was watching what pretty much everyone else was watching at that time. Giants-Packers.

And last nights Nets game was a second game of a back to back on the road at Phoenix. The night before the Nets had a tough OT loss. I'm sure they were exhausted. And the Nets need to get rid of Vince Carter and Lawrence Frank.

So that means that EO50 gets a pass after the Cavs double OT game and the Pistons OT game and any times we play a back to back?

Cool. He'll not doubt appreciate you cutting him a break!!
